This is my childs first year in barrow county school system and it will be the last! My child was injured due to her bus driver having an attitude because there was another child trying to enter the bus. Then after the child entered the bus the bus driver proceeded to speed off not giving the child time to sit and my child still struggling to get in her seat after she fell in the aisle from the first halted stop. Barrow county can expect a case coming because this is ridiculous. The same bus driver has been giving our bus stop issues since the beginning of the year! This county needs to do better especially with who they are hiring!

Seriously where do yall get these bus drivers from they past Kids that are on their route,not on time,scream at your kids Kids,let bullies pick on your kids and when your kid defend them self, your kid will be in trouble not the bully, they lie about what your kid is doing on the bus write them up so they can be put off the bus and when you try to call transportation service, no answer no matter how many times you call you wont get a call back basically like dealing with the IRS and the police with the harassment I advise you to not use their bus transportation for your child you dont want the stress

Bus never comes at scheduled time, always either 10 mins early or 10 mins late.

There should be an option to choose a zero star rating because one star is too generous. I am a parent who goes to every open house to make sure I have all information needed for my children to start the new school year. For the 2nd year in a row I have been extremely, to say the least, upset with the unorganized pick up times for my children on their first day of school. For the 2nd year in a row I have had to leave work, in another county, to take my children to school on their first day. Children should not be subjected to the embarrassment of being late on their first day due to an unorganized system that should be held to a higher standard. The first year I had an issue, the pick up location was changed to a street down without any notification. Again, I am a parent that goes to open house to get this type of information. During open house on one occasion I was told that the children should be at the bus stop at least 10 minutes before their pick up time. Guess what? One of my children's pick up time was 8:31am this year and she was out there 10 minutes early. Found out after calling the bus shop, the first time, that the driver came at 8:15. Called a 2nd time to make sure my youngest child doesn't miss the bus tomorrow and was told that the children only have to be at the bus stop 5 minutes before their pick up time. This is the most unorganized school transportation system that I have ever had to deal with. The majority of the workers that answer the phones do not listen to comprehend the issue. They listen to respond in the most condescending way possible. I was trying to explain to the lady that my child walked back home because her bus did not show up at the right time, but she was too busy trying to tell me that the bus does not pick up at my house and over talk any statement that I made. I found out the hard way last year that the pick up location had been changed so I clearly knew the bus would not come to our home. She would not listen until I raised my voice. I don't know how anyone else feel about their children but I feel like a child's safety is put into jeopardy if they are not picked up when they are supposed to be. I am very grateful that the teachers within the school systems are more caring than the transportation system.
