Scott built home is horrible everything is falling apart and I have only been living in it for 5 months and I regret the house it doesn't worth what the cost of the house my 6 year old grandson could have done better.

Please do not purchase any homes from Scottville or retailer Prefer homes. Houses purchased and bought in in November 1923. Scotbilt had sent for different contractors to try to fix wine sliding door. All of the light plate was cut to big once she removed the light fixtures, you can see the hole or gap in the walls. The guys who bought my home in painted so fast that paint is still on my floors and walls. The lights in the bedroom are LED lights are so hard to change and put fans because theres no beam where they put the light fixtures. The bedroom light is not even Center in the room so its not underneath the bed. The vent for the dryer was placed so the heat goes underneath the house. None of the doors and door frames fits. The doors are high off the floor. The frames are poorly measured The walls are not even equal , the measurement of this house is poorly done a rush job and no Care. These homes looks great until you get to live in one. Now that a bulk in my ceiling where my ceiling has begin to fall at the five months of purchase of this home. Nothing in this home has worked or has been successful since we purchased it. Anyone who wants a home to try Clayton because Scotbilt and Prefer homes doesnt care and its a rush job. I have called Steve Bailey appear to look at the home, show evidence of things that were not done , and I got a lot of excuses pertaining to transporting of the house from one location to another may cause things to fall apart. Its a lot that I have paid for this home and my home should not still cost me to repair items that Prefer homes and Scotbilt told me according to the structure of this home. The products are cheap and for the amount that I paid for this house I couldve went with a standard home. So do your research before purchasing any homes from Scotbilt.

I wish I never got talked into buying my house. Definitely gonna have to take legal action against the manufacturer. Do not buy from these liars unless you want an unfinished house and you like the bathroom cabinets falling on your children. Never again .. as soon as I compile all the photos of everything wrong with my house Ill post them . We are seeking legal advice from this point on . As of February 24 2023 these problems have gotten worse and we have now fallen through the floor in the kitchen. Pictures below are just a few of the many problems with my house that I have only been living in for a little over a year. We are about to close the house down completely and rent an apartment because everyone is staying sick . Dont ask to talk to the service manager or owner because they will only call you when they are informed about legal actions . This house has almost cost me everything including my marriage. Did I mention that non of the toilets were fastened to the floor ? We are still looking for a lawyer that will handle this problem.

Buyer beware!! If you want quality stick with brick!! Lesson learned unfortunately the hard way for me! Purchased a 4/2 plan and it's been nothing but a nightmare! Haven't lived in the home a year yet and nothing but issues. Getting ahold of anyone is extremely difficult by phone or email! No since of ergancy with this company at all! They say live in it for 30 or so days and make a list. I had documented pictures with listed repairs needed during setup sent out before i was locked out of the home. First they didn't build the home the way we wanted it per documents we signed. Told us that they would not change out anything to the original build plan. Paid for better shingles and home ended up with 3 tab shingles witch are outdated and cheeeeepppp! Nails just hammered is random locations all over the place. Cheep plastic roof vents that were damaged apon arrival along with massive roof damage. Was told that they do not warranty roofs! They only had a contractor come out because the roof had a massive leak! Damaged the ceiling and insulation. Now as for the exterior sheeting 1/4 inch cheep paneling is all you get. Sections are not even nailed to studs just metal taped together! Literly can pull siding over and see insulation. Hvac is all flex that isn't pulled tight causing all kinds of efficiency issues and cooling heating loss. Contractor pulled 15 feet of 22inch round flex that was just coild up causing restrictions. You can tell these building DO NOT GET INSPECTED at all during the building process or after!! I have plenty more issues/problems to list just stay clear of this company for building a home and choose brick!
