I recently went to this salon to receive a “dusting” of my ends, which is considered the most length retaining trimming service (about 1-2cm..less than a trim). I expressed my wants and trusted that I’d receive what I asked. I’d like to state that I’m a licensed professional and trim my own hair, but at times, I’d like other eyes to define a precision cut. As Sandra Williams is performing the service, about midway close to the crown, I can feel her taking off much length and very quickly. I state that I only wanted a trim and she says “Oh no, this a cut” (and laughs). As I look in the mirror, I see her chop 3+ inches off of my hair and she proceeded to hack away saying I “had gaps”. As I stated, I perform hair services, and I know how to cross check my own work and I had long, lucious, healthy hair with no breakage so I know she was lying. I’m also a natural and had a press at the time so imagine the shrinkage. I’d been growing my hair for years and she chopped all the progress. I told her she should’ve just done what I asked. In reply Sandra says, “I’m so sorry. You had gaps and I had to correct the cut. If you keep your normal routine, it’ll be back in no time”. I was devastated! She was a former colleague at Ulta Beauty salon and had done my hair before, but THIS time, she did what she wanted. I refuse to believe, that after her career of 20+ years she doesn’t know how to do a good cut. This was purposely done. I’m extremely angry and hate to say this came from a place of malice and jealousy. Do not go to this “stylist” to even touch your hair. These hands are not anointed and clearly the wants of the client are not of importance. These photos were taken 2 days apart. You be the judge. Edit: I attached another photo to see the before. This ordeal happened very quickly within 5 minutes. And no, I chose not to hit her. Too much to lose. Service: Haircut
