Gabe's Downtown

It was ok. Like the Villa Rica location better. But it's no longer open. Give the downtown location a try tho.

We left this place when it was open. The food was excellent with the right type of Kasian spice the atmosphere. It was wonderful perfect for a romantic date night, and the service was phenomenal as always. However, it's not open anymore in Villa Ricca and we are devastated.

A dear friend and I met for a lunch date last Wednesday.  When deciding on where to meet, we chose Gabe's Downtown.  What a great choice!  This was my first time eating here. Let's just say they did NOT disappoint .  The food was delicious.  Our server was AMAZING! She was very helpful with helping us decide on our meal selections.  We had the Cajun egg roll appetizer for starters.  OMG!!  They were hearty and DELICIOUS!  We both ordered the shrimp and grits entree.  It was HEAVENLY delicious!  All of the flavors just popped in every bite!  Both the appetizer and entree portions were very generous as well.  This place is a hidden gem.  I'm so glad it's right here in Douglasville.  I DEFINITELY plan to go back!

Always delicious. Our first time here - have always gone to Villa Rica before but it was closed. Still the best fried green tomatoes in the world.

I can't say a bad thing about Gabes delicious food. Because it is SO good. I've only been twice though, and my Fiancé and I got food poisoning both times. We both ordered fish Entrees, but they didn't taste 'fishy'(if you know what I mean) so I'm not sure what the issue was. But if I'm being totally honest- I Don't CARE! For me it was worth it both times. The food is amazing, and this happened sometime between 2016-2018. The only weird complaint I have (other than that one) Was while I was waiting for my table, and bought a bottle of wine, I was drinking at the bar, the waittress grabbed it out of my hand and insisted(with a suspicious look) on carrying the 4 feet to my booth. I just found that odd. If that's a policy, I wish she would have explained it to me. Gabe's if you read this: Help me convince my betrothed to take me there again. My birthday was yesterday, I'm burying one of my best friends soon, and I beLIEVE-3rd times a charm.
