Steak 'n Shake

Generally, I like steak and shake's food. My wife got a hot dog and I got a chili dog. Franks were dry, chili sparse and not flavorful. Fries were not hot or crispy, just sad. I ordered a milk shake and did not select whipped cream and cherry but my wife said that it was the default. Overall the food quality was not like previous stops here. The container dispenser for ketchup cups are not very good. You have to crush the cups to get them out. Not a good way to dispense.

First mistake, not seeing a manual cash register only digital kiosk. Second went to place order on kiosk THREE times just to find out theres not A cash option, proceeded to ask the nice young man working he then told me that their kiosk wasnt working (I work in fast food) totally understandable, and that i would have to drive around the drive thru and pay. Highly disappointed went to dine in, received other expectations.

The large bowl of chilli l ordered was more like a cup. Shrinking portions and higher prices is getting ridiculous

I love this place solely because of their garlic burger. However, they take a very long time if youre going through the drive thru. I had one experience where the guy on the speaker was very rude. But the last time I had the sweetest lady at the window, I wish I wouldve asked for her name so I could shout her out. Shes honestly the only reason I came back besides the garlic burger lol. Service is hit or miss but the food is good!
