Mrs. Gonos helped me immensely with my child custody case. She is very personable and will fight as hard as she can for you unlike a lot of other attorneys. You are not just a number on her docket when she represents you in the court of law. When she represents you, just know you are going to have someone that will fight tooth and nail for you with Heart of a Lion. She went above and beyond the call of duty in my case working hours on end to get my case resolved and settled in the most fair outcome. On top of all of that, she is very affordable. I would hire her in a heartbeat if I ever needed her to represent me again.

I think Katherine Gonos is a great person and her prices for an attorney are fair compared to others. However I don't think she makes for the greatest criminal defense attorney. I hired her twice for my son, first case was not as complicated, she did well with that one. The second time around, I feel she dropped the ball more than once. She had an officer take the stand in uniform and lie under oath, she had a video that proved he lied. She never attempted what so ever to go after that cop, or the district attorney who did everything in the book to get my son to plead guilty to a crime he did not commit that he was fully aware that my son did not, he had already seen the video that cleared my son however continued to press those charges against my son. It wasn't till court came an he had to show his cards, that he finally decided to drop that charge. She also had a probation office take the stand and lie, I had proof that he lied. Once again he was never questioned. I did make the mistake of speaking out and saying you are lying in court however that did not prevent her from showing the court that this was malicious prosecution against my son. From the arresting officer, the district attorney and the probation officer who lied. Now I am fully aware my son was not innocent by no means, however, I don't feel like the punishment he received fit the crime. He was arrested with someone else who committed the same crime with him, yes, my son was driving, however when they got out of the vehicle this boy could have surrender, he continued to flee from the police same as my son. Yet he was released before my son even got his first phone call. I knew my son was going to do some time- I didn't expect Mrs Katherine Gonos to be able to make it where my son just walked. When it was all done an said, she told me he received 3 years and he would be sent somewhere directed towards youthful offenders. That did not happen. He was sent to one of the worst prisons in GA- two of them. It's where they keep people who are on death row and those prisons are so overwhelmed with too many violent criminals that the state is trying to shut them down. I brought this her attention, basically she acted like she didn't know what to do or really didn't have an answer. She told me something that was not accurate at all! Once she closes your case - that's a wrap for her. She will not help you after that even if things did not pan out like she claimed. I mean she had that cop, the district attorney( who at one time was a colleague of hers) and the probation officer all on the hook for lying under oath- she did nothing at all- that's a defense attorneys dream to be able to nail folks on the stand for lying. I think she probably makes for a great family attorney and simple criminal cases. However the last time she represented my son- was just not a very aggressive on the ball defense attorney. I am trying to be as nice as I can be about the situation because she is a nice person. What made me more disappointed with her than anything was the fact my son did not get sent where she said he would and she wasn't willing to even attempt to help correct the situation more than am I am about that she just stood in court an allowed folks to Straight lie under oath with evidence they lied. Cop walked, probation officer walked and the district attorney was never questioned why did he pursue charges sooo hard against my son the he was aware he did not commit!! If you have a complicated criminal cases or etc. Make sure you have everything in writing, cross your Ts and dot your Is cause once your case is done - she will not help any further even if what she told turned out not to be true. My son doesn't deserve to be murdered in prison for the crime he committed- he shouldn't serving time along side with those in their on death row. She dropped the ball big time. I am sure she did some good in my son's case and probably managed to get some time shaved off. I'll give her that. Extremely disappointed in the second time I used her to represent my son.
