I spoke with Ken McDaniel about a first time home purchase mortgage as the other quotes I had been given the closing costs seemed high. He assured me I was being taken advantage of and quoted me x amount of closing costs over the phone. Once he sent my quote the closing costs were higher. I asked him why they were higher than we discussed and this was his reply:
HUH?????????? How is 2909.60 higher than $3400? Has the seller agreed to the contract yet?
The amount he discusses above was taking into account the sellers contribution which he was not aware of when he quoted the $3400. Second I think it is poor business practice to speak to a potential client this way. Third, it is insulting to think I can not do basic math.
If I were you I would avoid doing business with him.
