Dont ever go to a doctors group owned by private equity! Poor patient care and they treat you like factory robots! Healthcare went to hell.

Why does my driver have to stay in the waiting room? I have to have someone drive me to my colonoscopy, sit in the waiting room the entire time, and then drive me home. I understand the need for a driver afterwards, but the rest makes no sense. I asked the endoscopy clinic and was told, Its just in case something happens during your procedure. If something goes wrong the friend or family member required to wait in the waiting room is last on the list of people I want called. Call 911 and call the doctor back into the room. My friend would be utterly useless in that situation. So why exactly is another adult required to be in the waiting room during the procedure? It makes no sense to me and I imagine poses a significant barrier for some patients who do not have anyone able to come with them. I asked a tech and they said its so they can clear the beds faster. This is whats wrong with profit centered healthcare. People with no friends or family available are prevented from having colonoscopies because the faculty needs to clear beds faster so they can do more procedures and make more money. From the instructions : If your procedure requires sedation, a driver (age 18 or over) must accompany you to your appointment. The person who is driving you home must remain at the facility while your procedure is being performed so that they are available in the unlikely event of an emergency. You may not go home in a taxi, rideshare (Uber/Lyft), or take public transportation. The sedation you will receive will prevent you from driving safely or working the day of your procedure. Following your procedure, do not drive, operate heavy machinery, or sign legal documents for 24 hours. Update: I just got a certified letter terminating medical care. I guess they didnt like the review.

I was scheduled for a 10:00 appointment today and was told to arrive at 9:15. Upon arrival I noticed how the waiting room was small and didnt look like a real medical facility at all. The young lady at the front desk was not super friendly either. So anyway while I sit and wait and wait feeling tired, dehydrated and sick to my stomach I see people who checked in after me are getting taken back to the procedure room before me. At 10:30 I go up to the front desk and ask if there is a delay or what is going on. So a nicer lady that was at the front said she would go see what was the reason for the delay. She came back around 10 minutes later to tell me that Dr Dong is running late and might be another 20 more minutes or so and then from there could take an hour and a half to 2 hours more for the procedure time. At this point I was feeling like I could throw up or pass out after not eating for more than 24hours and prepping for this appointment! I told this lady just to forget it. She asked if I wanted to reschedule and I said absolutely not! Now that I see this place gets 1 star I am wondering why my obgyn referred me here?? I will definitely not be back and will be looking for a more professional medical facility!
