I have been a student for over a year. We have the best instructor ever. We are being taught techniques coupled with conditioning that promotes effectiveness. Per our sensai, technique/footwork is the foundation but if the body has not been programmed it is useless. I would gladly go to war with Sensai Toki/Bill. Their approach is spiritual, physical and enlightening. We are truly a family. We have elder students who are knowledgeable, supportive and patient. BTW I don't think anyone should judge anything based off my experience. COME CHECK IT OUT YOURSELF.

Toky is the best. She cares for her students, she's assertive, tough as nails, and takes her craft seriously. She travels to Israel to ensure she is teaching the most updated techniques, she pushes her students hard, and she enforces rules to keep the gym and students safe. Her billing is automatic each month, and her prices are fair. No contracts - class is month to month, which helps with my bonus daughters who are only in town for a full month over the summer. Great communication, and our kids learn something new each class. They love being able to use the gym equipment, too. I wish there was a "family session" so I could take the class with the kids. That's the only drawback - adult class is after kids class, so we would be waiting for each other to finish (there is a waiting area, though).

Toky is a fantastic instructor. KMF is about practical street defense which also includes a lot of physical conditioning. This class is a high intensity workout but students are encouraged to work at their own pace without pressure or judgement, with considerations made for individual limitations. Instruction is thorough and methodical and the studio is spotless. The classes tend to be diverse with members from a wide variety of backgrounds and different levels of experience, and I find that I learn as much from them as I do from Toky. Personally, this class has stood in as physical therapy for me, with the conditioning helping me to recover from spine injury and associated nerve damage while also gaining practical defense skills. I really couldnt be happier with my time at KMF.
