I had put off going to a urologist for a long time. I had chronic UTIs for over 3 years. I finally broke down and made an appointment with Dr. Taghechian, because I wanted to see a woman. I knew nothing about her. I was so very pleased when I met her. She is pleasant, she really listens and cares about her patients. Dr. Taghechian told me she could end my UTIs in 4 months, if I did exactly what she instructed. It hasnt been over a month yet, but Im following her instructions like the gospel truth. So far so good. Regardless of that, I would highly recommend Dr. Shaya Taghechian for the simple fact of her kindness and she made me felt heard!

Very friendly and professional staff. Dr. Tagnechian is very knowledgeable about urology. She listens to her patients and recommends a treatment plan. She then follows up to see how her recommended plan is working. I would recommend Dr. Tagnechian as a smart and thoughtful Urologist.

Dr. Tagechian is very friendly yet very professional and works with you in treating your problem. She is up to date in all the latest treatments in her field. She started treating my problem conservatively, which I so appreciated, then progressed with treatment from there. I am more than pleased with her and her whole practice! Wish all my doctors had her bedside manner.

A native of Atlanta, Dr. Taghechian received her bachelor's degree in biology and chemistry from Emory University. She continued at Emory University, in the School of Medicine where she completed her medical degree. Following that, she completed a residency in surgery and urology at the University of Texas in Houston. She joined Georgia Urology in 2011.In addition to general urology, Dr. Taghechian has expertise in prostate health, female urology, urinary control issues, and sexual dysfunction. Her award-winning specialization in both surgical labiaplasty and innovative non-surgical labiaplasty techniques has allowed Georgia Urology to expand into gynecological cosmetics and other sexual health enhancements for women.
