I cannot say enough good things about Amy Brown and her stellar coaching. I hired Amy to help me prepare an academic book manuscript that I was submitting to a university press. She came highly recommended by a colleague and I am so thankful for that recommendation. Amy is one of the kindest and most intentional people I have ever met. From the minute we began working together, I knew that I had a person I would be returning to for additional developmental editing help in the future. The most amazing thing about Amy is just how thorough and go-the-extra-mile she is. When I was feeling stuck, she would encourage me to create a writing plan. As a newly minted PhD, I cannot tell you how valuable I found working with Amy to be. She helped me take a mess of an article, based on my dissertation, and shape it into something that I was proud to submit over the course of five sessions! I just submitted it to a high impact journal this week after my final session with Amy! I'm already working on my next journal article, using the tools and knowledge I gained from her. I cannot recommend her enough!

There is no one better than Amy Benson Brown to help structure a big or a small writing project, to help eliminate dross, and to help identify what's missing as well as what needs to go. Amy Benson Brown is a remarkable editor who is a genuine pleasure to work with.

I started working with Amy at the beginning of my postdoc, and working with her has been the single most important factor in my landing a tenure-track job. From helping me digest peer review feedback to revising my dissertation into a book manuscript to overhauling journal articles, Amys thoughtful insight into my work has been invaluable. Academic writing can be lonely and isolated, so having Amy as my writing coach has enabled me to have candid conversations about my writing that I couldnt have with colleagues or friends. Amy brings decades of experience to the table and the perspective she bringsfrom big-picture ideas to wordsmithing suggestionshas helped me to be more productive than I would ever have been without her.
