First time visit and customer service is wonderful. Dr. Rothbloom is so pleasant and professional, hes thorough and takes the time to explain what you need to hear. The techs are friendly. I went in on a Saturday and they were busy but still managed to get me through my appointment in one hour. The exam and equipment they use are modern, different from what Im used to at other places. This is who I will be sticking with.

I kept being told by different friends and family members to go visit Dr. Gilliam for an eye exam, and I have to admit I hate I didn't go sooner. I was having trouble finding something that worked for my eyes, but he and his team were patient and worked with me until we found exactly what I needed. This was probably not only the best eye visit but the best doctor's visit I have ever had. Do yourself a favor and schedule with Dr. Gilliam

I've been going to this practice for nearly a decade and have, at one time or another, had appointments with nearly every one of the docs. They have all always been professional, personable and caring. That said, the front-of-house staff are a hot mess. In general, this practice is ALLLLLLLL about the upsell. Insurance covers eyescan with the dilating drops? Expect a heavy upsell into the 3d scan. Insurance cover 6 month supply of contacts? They'll surely push you to get a year's worth. Insurance cover basic frames and lenses? They'll guilt you into spending on the upgrade. On my most recent visit a family were in with their daughter getting glasses. The staff quoted a price for a particular pair and the dad commented that it was out of his budget. From that point on the staff made a point of (loudly) bringing him 'THE CHEAP FRAMES." "HERE, TRY THIS PAIR OF *CHEAP* FRAMES." "HERE'S ANOTHER CHEAP ONE SHE CAN TRY." Just so unprofessional, clearly intending to embarass the guy into upgrading. On that same visit I was charged incorrectly - luckily they noticed and came and corrected it. Mistakes happen, but literally the next day my wife went (new year = new contact benefits from insurance) and the same thing happened to her... although they didn't notice until she'd left, and expected her to return to make the adjustment to her credit card charge. Bottom line - if I could go and just see the docs and not have to deal with the support staff, I would, but given my recent experiences, I'll unfortunately be moving on.

Dr. Rothbloom is what you hope and expect from a health care professional. I had to make an emergency visit due to extreme redness, burning, and itching in both of my eyes that had gradually gotten worse over the past weeks. I had gone to a National chain eye doctor before for the same issue and had no results because I was being treated for the wrong thing. After a thorough exam and him taking the time to ask the right questions, I now know that I have a rare condition that could be reoccurring. He also took the time to explain the condition so that I could be educated on how to properly take care of myself if/when it comes back in the future. Not only that! He took the time to research a prescription coupon to make the several hundred dollar prescription needed, down to only $25! By taking 5 extra minutes he helped saved me over $300!! This helped bc I did have to be a cash patient since they didnt except my insurance. Time and time again it is proven how much better private healthcare is over the forced doctors you are required to go to due to them being in network. Its unfortunate I dont get to pick the doctors that will best suit my needs for the outrageous cost it is for healthcare insurance. But enough of that. My point being it was well worth paying a little more to be seen by a true professional doctor and not a doc in a box. Im so grateful for his service and commitment to his patients. The staff is phenomenal and you can tell they are a team and unit. I will be a patient for life. Just might have to go elsewhere to use insurance for glasses and contacts.
