Let me first say I am not here to bash this doctors' skills, but as a father whom has had his 11 year old daughter see this office since she was born I am VERY ticked. My daughter had a fever of 104 today and she was also seen by the emergency room over the weekend and we called this office and can you imagine they denied us?? Yes.. said there was a issue with our insurance, so we said hey we can and will pay out of pocket and I had the money for sure.The office told us we COULD NOT PAY!Yes you heard right, our money was not even good...Then to add insult to injury they said they would have to block our account,for what we asked??They couldn't give us a answer,but put us on hold to ask some supervisor. This is the most unprofessional place. I cant believe when we needed this office the most they were not there.We took our daughter to Memorial and she was diagnosed with Pneumonia ! Yes and I cant tell you how upsetting this was to have her own Doctor to reject her in a situation like this.Let me also say WE DID NOT OWE THIS OFFICE NOT ONE CENT.My position is if you cant see us when we need you then you do not have to worry about seeing us when it isn't a emergency. Please stay away from this place!

I called to get general information because I was interested in switching my daughter's pediatrician. I was talked to in the most disrespectful way over the phone by a very unprofessional staff member. I wish I had gotten her name because I would have called back to complain. I asked if Dr. Hobby was taking any new patients and she said "It depends. Does your child have any issues?"...as if my child's medical issues determine whether she's acceptable or not?? I said, yes she has some medical issues and proceeded to explain. She then said, "Are you looking for a new doctor or are you looking for a second opinion, because we don't do second opinions here". I said, "Well I am looking for a new doctor, which is why I called, but...". She cut me off and started asking for my information, address, insurance, etc and said she would have to speak to Dr. Hobby regarding whether he would accept my daughter as a patient and call me back but needed to know if I was switching doctors. I said, "Well we would like to bring my child in to an appointment, meet the doctor, discuss her medical issues, and see if your office is a good fit before we transfer all of her records there so I just want to make an appointment". She cut me off again as I was explaining my needs, and then said that they had to switch me and she would have to get this approved with the doctor. She had a very aggressive tone the entire conversation and I told her that we simply needed a consultation to see if it was a good fit but I said "If your office doesn't do that, let me know and I will call someone else". She got smart with me several times, and repeated again that she would call me after speaking with Dr. Hobby but I guarantee you I will not be taking my child to this office. It is a shame, I never even got to meet the doctor so this is not a reflection on him, but office staff members are just as much of a reflection of a practice as the doctor is, and I will not take my child somewhere where I will be smarted off to and talked to with an aggressive tone. I highly suggest your office reevaluate your employees and also do some customer service training and mystery calls to keep your employees in check. This was totally unacceptable. I was only calling for general information and I was talked to like a dog.
