Kids First Pediatrics is the most unprofessional poorly managed physicians office I have ever been acquainted with. My husband and I took our (2) week old son to the Little Neck Rd location on 5/23/19 for a standard checkup. We arrived on time but were stuck in the waiting room for (45) minutes before being called back. I politely expressed my concerns to the nurse, she stated they have a staff shortage and I could call and speak to Vicki (office manager) about the issue. The terminology I used was this is unacceptable that a newborn has to wait this long after their appointment. The nurse also agreed with my frustration. Dr. Caudill finally came into the room 1.75 hours after our scheduled appointment. Dr. Caudill also voiced her concerns about the wait time. I called and left a voicemail for Vicki on 5/23/19. After several days of Vicki not returning my call I then called and spoke with a person at the Pooler location. She expressed regret that Vicki hasnt returned my call and that she personally would give her the message that day. Two more days passed without a call so I called the Pooler location and spoke with the same lady and she mentioned that she remembered speaking with me the prior week and that she did in fact hand Vicki the message. She then gave Vicki another message. After several days and multiple calls, I was finally able to reach Vicki by phone. When I spoke with Vicki I expressed concerns that a newborn had to wait for 1.75 hours to be seen. Vicki stated there was possibly a patient that was serious and needed to be seen prior to my son. This is perfectly understandable except the fact that this wasnt accurate. The waiting room was completely empty during our visit. Due to thin walls I could clearly hear a small child was there for a checkup and another was there for sports physical for school. Our exam room was across form the doctors office. She was on her computer for over (45) minutes. I then explained to Vicki that the nurse stated they were short staffed, Vicki said that was true. I told Vicki that the office should reduce the number of appointments if they didnt have the staff to support them. I then said to Vicki, its unacceptable and unprofessional that a newborn has to wait 1.75 hours to be seen. She agreed and said she would speak to the doctor about the issue. We had another follow-up visit on 5/31/19 with a different nurse. I informed her of the previous issue using the same terminology, its unacceptable and unprofessional that newborns have to wait 1.75 hours to be seen. I told the nurse to let us know if it was going to be that long so we could reschedule. Dr. Caudill came in a short time later with no issues or concerns. Today (6/13/19) we showed up for my sons (1) month visit. While checking in, the staff at the front desk informed me the appointment was canceled. She was unsure as to why and said I should have received a letter explaining why. We have never received any letters. She then told me that my son had been discharged. She spoke with Vicki by phone and the staff member asked Vicki if she could speak with me, she was clearly uncomfortable, Vicki said no and the call was ended. The staff member then printed a letter and handed it to me. She said Vicki told her it was sent via registered mail. This is interesting because I use a PO Box that was checked last night with no letter. The date of the document was 6/03, clearly it doesnt take a registered letter (10) days to travel across town. The letter stated, The recent disruptive behavior using profanity with our staff. AT NO TIME DID I OR MY HUSBAND USE PROFANITY OR RAISE OUR VOICES. I never used harsher language than unacceptable and unprofessional. Its clear that the office is poorly managed and they dont want to receive or address valid complaints. I highly recommend you take your child to another Pediatricians office. Just see the numerous reviews that back up our frustrations.

I made an appt for 8:30. To hopefully eliminate the extremely long wait times I have every visit. The Dr didnt even arrive to the office until 9 and the nurse got here at 8:44. We were called back after 9 am. Why would they make an 830 appt if the staff wasnt even in the office. This appt was scheduled months in advance. My time is valuable and this office completely disregards everyones time. This will be our last visit. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT come to this practice.
