Update: now I have other patrons calling me a liar! Writing reviews saying I am leaving something out. I never said that the nail fell off right away, it fell off a couple of months later while still actively trying to fight the infection. Which I am STILL on medication for. But I guess these people know better than my general practitioner and podiatrist. This harassment and gaslighting needs to stop!! I stand by this review and just wish anyone affiliated with this salon would leave me alone! Since I am being threatened with a lawsuit by the owner Ill just say thisI had a pedicure here, a few days later I was diagnosed with a fungal infection. I have since lost my toenail and am still trying to get the infection cleared up and its been months. I dont go to public pools or gym showers. I take good care of my feet. Of course I cannot say that I picked up this infection here with 100% certainty but the symptoms did appear just a few days later. I have been going to this salon for a few years before this incident. Ive been a very loyal customer. When I went for this pedicure the tech showed up late and was clearly very hung over (this was Halloween weekend). I know she was because she was having a conversation with another nail tech next to us about it. She had not made it home the night before and was hungover. She didnt even look up the services I booked and started giving me a regular pedicure (I booked a deluxe). Towards the end, she realized that and tried to cram in the deluxe services, including putting a scrub on my legs while they were dry! A few days later I started getting pain in my big toe on my left foot, the nail bed was hurting and my toe turned purple. I went to the doctor and was told I had a fungal infection. I reached out to the owner and she was unapologetic and eventually stopped responding. She then had my regular nail tech (not the one that did the pedicure) reach out to me to discuss, which made no sense because she isnt the owner and she didnt give me the pedicure. She also gave her the impression this had something to do with an ingrown nail which I never said anything about nor was that the case. Long story but they wouldnt issue a refund but gave me a gift card for the amount of the pedicure. Yes I used it, I lost a toenail and have been suffering for months. I did go back there a few times simply because of Stephanie, my usual tech. She does amazing work and did nothing wrong. I was treated differently by the staff after speaking to the owner about this incident so I was uncomfortable going there ever since. Its truly a shame and I did not make the decision not to return easily but felt I had no choice. Hopefully the owner will leave me alone and stop texting me after I said twice not to contact me any further.

Stephanie at Perfect Polish did an ombr nail with a chrome top-wow. Her attention to detail and her shaping skills are outstanding. Her work is always 100% thats why I have been going there for over a year. If you are looking for a talented nail tech then you need Stephanie at Perfect Polish; I highly recommend her. You will be happy with her work that I can promise you.

Very clean, and friendly staff! The BEST on the Islands and in Savanah! I have been a client for years, I too had a nail license years ago and worked for a dermatologist in Florida, so I am VERY, VERY conscious of cleanliness and sanitation in a salon. Perfect Polish is by far the cleanest one I have found. I read the negative review recently posted and find it nearly impossible for you to get a pedicure one day and in the matter of days have an infection so severe that the loss of a toe nail was imminent, there had to be an underlying condition or injury to the toe that the poster is leaving out.

It’s heartbreaking to read your review. We would never thought a well-loved client such as you would have the heart to write something like this in aim to bring our establishment down. Our goal is not to argue with clients, and to accommodate our clients to the best of our ability. So when you brought the issue to us, whether it was our fault or not, we still apologized and did what we could to make it up to you. We can provide screenshots of the conversation to remind you we did. We also had a meeting with the team to address your issue. During the meeting, many things were discussed and during the meeting, Stephanie offered to reach back out to you to see if she could amend the situation since you were her regular. Here are the reasons why we asked you to have an open mind that the infection could have been caused by other factors. All of our tools had been sitting in the sterilizer machine all night—sterilizing! And you were the first appointment of the day.We have liners for the pedicure tub, our files and buffers are one-time used. Usually, we would ask if our customers want to take the files and buffer home since we would throw them away anyway. We all know that open wounds are susceptible to infections, however, our technician did not cause you any open cuts/wounds or make you bleed to be susceptible to infection. What we do know over the years is that you have a history of having ingrown toenails, which we had taken out on many occasions. So at first, we thought the ingrown was not completely cut out and that could’ve caused the infection. But when we spoke to our technician, she said you weren’t complaining about your ingrown that day, so she didn’t touch it. This brings us to think that the ingrown could have grown out later on, and when left untreated; it could cause an infection. And just so everyone knows, it is not our job to treat ingrown toenails. It is the podiatrist’s job for hundreds of dollars. Our pedicure costs from $30-$50 depending on what you add on. For that amount, we are still humble to touch someone's feet and at our salon, we do it with pride and love. Yet, we still get scolded and blamed the second there is a problem. We can be 100% sure that our tech was not hung over, she has a health condition where she has to watch what she is consuming, including alcohol. If you want to see her health record, she will be happy to let you see it. After the accident, you came in to get your nails done, and the technician that worked on your pedicure said, “Hi” to you. And you gave her a hateful look and rolled your eyes and said nothing back. For a second you caused her to hate her job. We told the technician, it’s okay she is still upset, just sit somewhere else when she comes in that way you guys don’t have to encounter each other. Two other technicians confirmed that they did speak to you, regardless of the situation. And other technicians, are busy accommodating their customers. There are times they have very little time for lunch left alone to go around saying hi to other technicians’s customers. We promise they did not go out of their way to not say hi to you to make you feel any type of way. You asked for a refund, and we did reply that our policy is no refund. We have a sign hanging up at the front desk stating, “No refund, please make sure you are happy with your service before leaving.” We can’t issue a refund, but we are happy to fix anything you don’t like before leaving. Or within in couple of days. Keep in mind, that you are buying our time/service. We can’t refund you, as you can’t return our time/service. This is to protect us and steer away people who just want a free service, in general. But because you were a regular, so to stay true to our no refund policy, we offered you a gift certificate to use on the nails. You accepted the gift and used it. We hope that when you go to another salon you don’t do this to them. It's very heartbroken. Research how you get a fungal infection.
