        Negative. I found out how the 5-year auto accident forgiveness really works and I do not feel it is fair. It's not what an average consumer thinks it is. My mother had a small accident 5 years and 3 months after her 1st small accident. Because it was during a policy period that had started 4 years and 10 months after her 1st accident, the 5-year accident forgiveness did not apply. Had her 2nd accident happened 2 months later, the current policy period would have ended and the 5-year accident forgiveness would have applied.

      My mother had a small accident 5 years and 3 months after her 1st small accident. Because it was during a policy period that had started 4 years and 10 months after her 1st accident, the 5-year accident forgiveness did not apply. Had her 2nd accident happened 2 months later, the current policy period would have ended and the 5-year accident forgiveness would have applied.
