    I was not a fan. The walls are so thin! I had to call the room next door to say, Im heading to bed, could you turn down Family Guy? Some of the desk staff were rude. There was one nice young lady at the desk, but the rest were not great.

    Only go here if you want to be hours late to any plans. While it says you can check in at 4, my room wasnt ready till after 5. Then when I complained about it, they told me they dont guarantee that you can get in at 4. Because of that, I missed going to sound check for my uncle and aunt, who were in town to play at Savannahs Music Festival. I also was incredibly late to dinner.

    This is the 3rd and last time we will be visiting DeSoto. While the location is great and the lobby is beautiful, the rooms and friendliness of staff leaves much to be desired. We waited an hour to check in, the staff made us feel like we were inconveniencing them by being there, the room had all these little issues that just added up to be very disappointing. The air vent in the bathroom was caked with dust, the hairdryer vent was also caked with dust/lint (could have easily caused a fire), tiles missing in the bathroom floor, thermostat didnt work (could not adjust the temp), marker lines on the sheets, balcony door hard to open and close, the wind constantly shook the door and it sounded like someone was trying to break in, also heard every traffic sound, the blinds were hard to open and close as well and the room darkening one had splatters of something all over it. I think this hotel has a lot of potential but is truly slacking in a great experience in Savannah.

    Rooms: Can hear EVERYTHING in the hallway and outside. No bathrobes. The bathroom lighting is awful. No vanity mirrors so dont plan to pluck anything. The tap water does not taste good enough to drink and there are no vending machines or water dispenser near the ice machine. The room was not particularly well maintained. Walkability: Great location. I cannot say enough about this!!! It is the only thing the hotel has going for it. Food & drinks: The restaurant food was mediocre at best. The bar closed at 11 pm which is ridiculous especially on a weekend. There is no room service and no vending machines so dont get hungry. The conference food however was quite good. Noteworthy details: Went to a conference here. The WiFi was AWFUL and dropped me constantly such that I could not get any work done. The temperature control was terrible. The rooms were beyond normal conference cold such that they were sometimes intolerable. There was no way to manually control the temperature. Not enough bathroom stalls in the womens restroom. No parking other than very expensive valet. Spa is not an actual facility but a message table in an empty hotel room done by a clearly untrained person
