I've had two tours with Captain Jay. One tour from Savannah to Daufuskie Island and the other was the Harbor Tour. Captain Jay was very informative on both the history and the ecosystem of the river. His boat and his personality were very accommodating. We loved both tours and will certainly give him a call again.

Captain Jay is a crook. My husband and I took a half day charter in November and caught maybe 5 fish the whole day. He is the cheapest charter but you get what you pay for. I had a knot in my line and was making it hard to cast, I started messing with it to get it out. When the captain noticed it, he said he would take care of it, he just pulled the knot tighter and said it would be fine l, every other cast I tangled my line. He kept moving from place to place, like he was just guessing. He was talking to another fisherman at the landing, when we first got there, and admitted that he hadn't been on the water for almost 2 weeks. We should have left right then. At the end of the day, we went to pay him and most other fisherman would say "only pay me this.....," not this guy. Do not choose this guy as your guide!!!! If I could give him no stars, I would.
