About
Gwinnett College (Roswell/Sandy Springs Campus)

We Are Moving! Come see our new location on Old Alabama Road in Roswell on November 18th.Rising Spirit was founded in 1994 by Drs. Bruce and Martha Costello, and was originally known as the New Life Institute School of Massage Excellence. Drs. Costello felt that there was a growing demand for a quality Massage Therapy school in Atlanta that offered more than the traditional massage program. In January 2001, the name was changed to reflect the expanding vision the founders had for the school. In June 2006, Rising Spirit went through another transformation with the acquisition of Rising Spirit by Gwinnett College, and Michael Davis was named President. We are excited by the expansion of our student body as well as the different options available to our students as well as those of Gwinnett College. We see this as a giant leap forward for Metro-Atlantans, as it creates many new educational and career opportunities.

image I didn't go to school. I just went to find out the tuition. However,
She [the head of the admissions ] gently encouraged me to sign, saying it was nothing, and induced me to write down my social security number. She kept calling me and asked me when I attend to the college. They charge $5000 more than other college. The other college's tuition fee is just about10K.
Updated content:
Be careful of here, the admissions director here is insane. I just went to check the tuition, but before she would tell me the tuition, she asked for a social security number, and after that, she kept calling me and bothered me, so I didn't answer and blocked her, but I got another call from another number yesterday, and she's a total stalker.

Hi Dr. Lee. I'm sorry you weren't happy with your visit to our campus. We actually don't have a head of admissions at that campus and I couldn't find you in our database. That said, I would love to follow up on this for you. Could you possibly call the campus and give our front desk your full name so I can research this for you? Let her know you are leaving it for the Vice President and it will make it to me. I'll also make sure we remove you from any future call lists as well. The campus number is 770-457-2021. Thank you so much.

image Very professional in all they do. My massage therapist is very on point with the areas of my muscle aches and knows how to work them out. She takes the time to explain each muscle and how they interact with the movements in accordance to what I do each day and how I'm possibly stressing them. I have become a regular customer because of it. This college is obviously teaching these students well.

image Honestly the experience at this school has been super efficient and informative. I had a terrible experience with the first massage school I went to and this one has really surpassed every expectation I had going in. Clinicals are reasonable and well documented. My clinic advisor was uplifting and real and would always give informative advice when necessary! The anatomy and physiology class was definitely the best we couldve gotten. I truly thank my professor Dr. Bauth for his exceptional knowledge. We also got in depth classes for NMT which I was never even taught at my last school Tyler the NMT teacher is extremely aware of how the body functions and great at exposing it to others as well. I feel so prepared for my career thanks to my determination and this school for the staff they had. The whole school year is set in a super efficient way as they start you off with the basics and drill it into you. Sharon is an amazing and super versatile teacher that gave us the knowledge anytime she was in the classroom and really prepared us for what was to come. I wish I wouldve come here to begin with. The way the classes are set up and the online systems they use are super helpful and truly a step up from what other massage schools are offering. They even helped out at the end with getting us scheduled! Theres always pros and cons wherever you go but truly the pros outweigh the cons as they usually didnt have much to do with the student. Just a lack of planning at times with rescheduling classes and interfering with previous planning. Overall extremely grateful for this school though. Got to meet some amazing soon to be massage therapists also!

image I am a current student here and I am just about finished with my 9 months. I have to say it has been the worst, stressful 9 months that I have ever had. I love most of the staff, Ty makes you feel like hes on your side.. but the curriculum is all over the place. We have HW on one thing and they test us on another. It's a rush, just a huge rush. Or a race to see how well you can cram a bunch of info at once to be tested on it one week later. God forbid you get sick, or a death in the family. If you're late too many times, you're out. You get graded on participating like in grade school. I honestly just did not love this experience. I dont know anything about running a school but I will never ever do this again. It's way too much unorganized work in such a short time. Google was my friend most of the time. Even teachers cant keep up, I just cant wait to be done. It's made me shed some stressful tears.
