OAK LEAF MANOR

I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. My mother was here in her last days. If you ask any questions about your loved ones' care, you are met with attitude and restricted access to your family member. It got so bad that family was not allowed to visit her because we had concerns about her care. Eventually my Mother, who was on hospice, was evicted with only 24 hours to find adequate care (a clear breach of the contract we signed). This was on a Friday, so it wasn't exactly easy to make that happen. There was a lot of drama, and they even threatened to call the police on us, simply for showing up to see our Mother. We may have been able to spend a few more days with her if they hadn't made a woman on hospice move a second time. The staff is heartless. The experience here was beyond awful. Please don't place your loved one here.

My sisters and I looked at many reputable communities before choosing Oak Leaf Manor for our mother. Its appeal was the intimate size (not too big/not too small), the staff, and the cleanliness. Over the time that she has been there, we've come to know the staff and residents. We are welcomed each visit. With our mother being increasingly affected by her dementia, it was imperative to have her reside in a secure residence, with familiar friendly faces, and to have a predictable schedule. Schedule a tour for your loved one. Ask questions. The owner, Lisa South, is knowledgeable, honest, and passionately devoted to all who are involved with Oak Leaf Manor.

Lisa and staff have been wonderful with our mom, providing the care, attention and affection she needs. Lisa communicates freely and is always available for questions and concerns. Oak Leaf is a cozy and lovely place, warm and inviting and mom has a beautiful spacious room perfect for her. Knowing she is safe and happy gives our family much needed comfort. Thanks to Lisa and all the staff!

I cant say enough good things about Oak Leaf Manor (fka Hearthstone) in Roswell GA. My father is 81 and has vascular dementia, which impacts both his cognitive and physical abilities. Our family looked at many places around Atlanta, and none seemed right. We were afraid that Dad would slip through the cracks of the larger, assisted living and memory care facilities. Oak Leaf Manor is small, intimate and independently owned. The owner, Lisa South, is a registered nurse and is very hands on. She is knowledgable, caring and accessible. The entire staff is kind, patient, and LONG TERM. There has been zero turnover since our dad arrived six months ago - unheard of in this industry. And so important to the comfort and routine. Lisa and team are focused on holistic wellness and well-being for the residents, and they customize care as much as possible. They have relationships with many outside providers who bring value-added services to the residents. The facilities are also nice and clean and offer multiple indoor and outdoor spaces for family members to spend time with their loved ones outside of their rooms. Making the decision to move a loved one from his/her home is really emotional and hard. Oak Lead Manor has made something very difficult much easier. We know our dad receives love and care everyday.

We work on a professional basis with Lisa and the team at Oak Leaf. We have observed the care, compassion and love that each staff member shows their residents. Highly recommend!
