        I actually love Dr. Alena. Up until today he was my PCP for the past 15 years. But his front staff is the worst and unkind. While sitting waiting only to Jerold I had to be rescheduled I witnessed a older woman whom also very upset that no one could come out to look at what appeared to be an insect bite. I bring this all up because there is no class or decorum with regards to privacy as I heard the womans entire convo and then when I was asking questions they just blurted o it dates of my services and mentioned ct scan and that information is private.

        Dr. Alena is one of the best. He is patient and kind. He explains everything with the right degree of complexity based on what he knows about you or until you have no further questions. I have been going to him off and on for years. Only off and on because he was not always included in my insurance directory. When he is, I am definitely with him. If you want a doctor who cares, Dr. Alena definitly fits the bill. He will never make you feel like he is in a hurry to move along to his next billable unit.

      Frank Alena, MD

      Dr. Alena obtained his medical degree from the University of J.A. Komensky in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia. He completed his first residency and is board certified in ophthalmology in Czechoslovakia. Dr. Alena later moved to Canada where he taught medical students, conducted cancer research, and received his Ph.D. in Medical Sciences from the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada. Dr. Alena then traveled to the United States where he completed his residency training and fellowship in family practice at the East Tennessee State University. Dr. Alena is board certified in family medicine with extensive experience in primary care and special interests in preventive and emergency medicine and ophthalmology. He is dedicated to helping patients lead a healthy life style. Dr. Alena lives in Peachtree City with his wife, Jane, and two children. In his free time, he enjoys nature photography, orienteering running, and art and music. Dr. Alena is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice and the American Medical Association. He is available for appointments and accepts most major insurance plans.
