As a first time home buyer I have given my time and money to a company called Century Complete/ Century Communities. I started the home buying process with this company back in January 2021 and we went under contract on 01/31/2021. All the documents for the purchase and sale agreement that Century Complete has asked me to sign I have signed. The property address is 2566 Wood Bend Ln, Riverdale, GA 30296. To close on my new home the lender required all parties of the purchase & sale contract to sign the FHA Amendatory Clause. Once that document was sent off to Century Complete on June 21, 2021 they didn’t respond nor sign the document. After I paid $1,000 in deposit money back in January to Century Complete they refused to sign this needed document to get a clear to close (CTC) from the lender. Now they have terminated the contract because they stated they were not going to sign the FHA Amendatory Clause so they just terminated and are keeping my deposit. Based on FHA law if a home doesn’t appraise for the purchase price value then the seller is required by law to give the buyer their deposit money back. Century Complete was selling the house for $205,990, but the house appraised for only $201,500. They went on to say the termination was mutual which it wasn’t a mutual agreement. During the duration of working with Century Complete representatives Kristina Hobdy and Andrea Lawerence I only talked to them twice. First when they received my deposit money and the day before I was supposed to close. Prior to contract termination I already submitted a 60 day notice on my apartment, now I am without a place of residence. I have a family and to mention a disablied child so receiving this type of service from Century Complete is appalling and very disappointing.

I moved into a brand new house to rent for a year and it is extremely poor quality. Crack in the ceiling, front porch has a crack in it already, bedroom door won't close because the angle is off.. the list goes on! I feel like I could have built a better house using Legos.
