Mimi did a great job on my daughters hair. She is very talented and excellent customer service. We had a great conversation and enjoyed our visit. We will definitely be coming back again!! Definite yes.

Ive been going to Ms.Mimi for a couple of years now and shes my go to to Women when I need my hair braided! I also can count on her to be there when I need her . She works well with scheduling appointments and shes pretty understandable. I feel like family whenever I come to the shop and we always have good conversations!!! Really did not want to leave a review but unfortunately I cannot let this last experience go. Ive gone to Mimi a couple of times she is a very talented hair braider however she steamrolled me into using hair I knew I didnt want, but she convinced me the style would look the same. Ive gone to her for medium knotless braids in the past and she did a great job, however I realized I didnt like the type of braiding hair she uses so when I wanted to get another style I told her I wanted her to use something closer to human hair. She recommended another type of hair which I loved and it worked out just fine. I went to her her this past weekend and asked her to do the exact same thing she just did a month prior. She failed to inform me that she didnt have the hair because it wasnt available at the store she goes too. Had she told me prior I couldve brought the hair. I found out after I arrived to my appointment where she arrived an hour late. She then proceeds to tell me to use the other braiding hair which I questioned the weight of the hair, but she insists the hair will look the same she would just braid them down and dip in hot water to attain the same style she did last. She explained that there would be no real difference between the two types of hair. It wasnt until I left her shop that I realized I hated this hair (which is why I requested the other in the first place) and she didnt even do knotless like I requested they are regular box braids which Ive never done. I shouldnt have spent the $190 but at that point I wanted to move forward and get it fixed. I found the hair that she was struggling to find and called her immediately and asked how much to get them get fixed/ redone. She offered to redo my hair for $130 which I felt was a bit pricey for someone who walked out unsatisfied due to trusting her expertise in the first place. Mimi is a very talented braider however I feel like she cut corners to simply be paid and didnt care when I explained that this hair does not look like the photos I sent her prior or the way she did it last time. Im in a wedding party this weekend and now have to attend while having hair that I do not like and my hard earned money is essentially put in the trash. If you do go to her make sure you know exactly what you want and dont make any compromises based on any expertise as she will ultimately pick whatever is most convenient for her.

I been battling with the decision to leave a review ever since I got my hair done about 2 weeks ago. But because its been on my mind I have to. When I went to get my hair done by Mimi I showed her the picture of what I wanted. So I was under the impression that she could do it because it was simple style. So when I arrived at the shop I showed her another picture of style that I thought was cute and asked if I could get that instead. Mimi told me that she couldnt because she makes appointments accordingly to the style the client wants. FYI I have a sister thats in the same field thats in cosmetology and clients change their minds all the time but she always made a way to accommodate them. Anyway, so when Mimi told me that I was very disappointed but I decided to stay to get my hair done . While I was in chair as she was putting rubber bands in my hair to section it off she was pulling my hair . Now I have soft hair and I told her she hurting me. She did not like that. She got highly defensive and wanted to argue with me about what I said and I guess how I said it. Very Unprofessional not the mention she didnt even do the style correctly of what I asked. Never will I go back. I was hurt and disappointed by the whole situation. Service: Braids
