As I drove in on 6/10, I was greeted by a very friendly young teen girl at the entrance. I asked her how much the concrete butterfly sculptures were. She smiled and said, "a lot." Okaaaay, I shrugged my shoulders, and asked what's a lot? $200? $650? $2500? She said "I think it's over $1,000" and just stood there. I asked if she was going to check or what, and told her that's not the correct answer to tell someone. While she was checking, a woman came over and wanted to know what I needed help with. I told her that young lady was helping me and she is going to tell me the price of the butterfly. She said "that's my daughter" I said ok, and? Just then the girl returned and said "it costs three, nine, zero with more zeros at the end of it." I cannot make this up. Baffled beyond belief at the elementary school answer, I asked her mother to interpret in customer service English how much three nine zero with more zeros at the end means in dollar amount, mom said $390. The girl's description of the price could've meant $39,000, $3,900 , $390??? Wow. Mother Bear scolded me & said I didn't have to be rude to her daughter. Rude??? Being confused at such a toddler type answer is NOT being rude I told her, being frustrated at such childish, unprofessional responses to an everyday question is perfectly normal. Mom then apologized in the most condescending way on Earth, " I'm sorry she didn't answer you the way you wanted". I told her no, she didn't answer correctly to ANY potential customer. Telling a person "A lot", "I think it's over $1,000" and "three, nine, zero with a bunch of other zeros after it" is not the way to respond to ANY potential customer. I asked mom if she agreed, and she never did, she just apologized another 4-5 times and before leaving I told her I had $800 to spend and needed to know the price so I could know how many to purchase. She kindly invited me to park and come take a look at them. But after weeks of driving by & admiring them, I no longer want them. I just drove away. Parents, train your teens on customer service etiquette! "I'm not sure, but will go take a look" would be a great place to start.

I've done multiple purchases from Mulch & More. Each and every time, Savannah has gone ABOVE & BEYOND to address my needs and concerns. She has quoted me prices, looked up speciality items, guided me on correct amounts to order, etc. She once even saved me from ordering too much mulch. All the staff at Mulch & More are great, but if you get a chance to stop by (or call), ask for Savannah. You won't regret her Excellence in Customer Service!!
