I’ve been at this school throughout my middle school years, and the only thing that I really noticed that I guess was different from other schools was the treatment from the teachers. When I moved from my elementary school I was expecting an environment that was a bit more harsh I guess but it was exactly the same as elementary school until 7th grade. They gradually made it feel more and more like a high school as the years went by and I feel like that my experience there will help me when I get to high school next year.

I went here for two years, 7th thru 8th, and I can honestly say that it did nothing for me. I had straight A's my previous years in public schools, but as soon as my brother and I got there, I could tell it wasn't as good. If I could sum it up with three words: broke, unhelpful, uninformative. I just want to squeeze in that we couldn't afford a gym, but for some reason, our computers aren't good enough, so we needed new ones, as well as 2000 dollar smartboards in each classroom.Also, it is located in the dead middle of the I industrial district, so not only is the building cramped, but the 20 foot "play field" isn't even very safe for children to play in. The staff expects them to grab any ball kicked over the fence (shorter than a fifth grader) and risk getting run over by a tractor-trailer. All it would take is an explosion in o e of the many nearby factories to cause serious damage to the building and students. Take my advice and don't send your children here.

Small school that really feels like family, all the teachers of every grade knows both of my children's names which makes my children more comfortable. They stay on the ball when it comes to my questions and concerns. After going with a charter school my kids won't go to public school

After my child was taken off school property by a teacher without my knowledge or permission, the principal lied in his investigation and tried to brush it under the rug like it was not a big deal. The teachers and front desk staff are great but I can no longer entrust my children to be around administrators with no ethics, a principal who won’t advocate for them.
