I called Fix All Appliance on Tuesday 02/13. I advised of our dryer making a noise for the past couple of days and requested an assessment. Mark asked what type of noise, I placed him on speaker to listen to the dryer. He said it sounded as if the rollers were bad and based on his experience with Samsung dryers they had the tendency to have the rollers to give out after some time. I asked for a potential quote and he confirmed over the phone ($20 per roller and $120 for the service). We arranged for him to come on Thursday (02/14) between 12pm-2pm. Mark arrived to our home around 1:30pm. He disassembled our dryer and determined it was the problem he expected (the rollers) he advised two rollers were bad and he would need to go to his car to get the rollers. He remained outside our home for over 20 mins before returning to inform us that he did not have the correct parts (because he switched cars and did not confirm he had the correct inventory for our job). He proceeds to say he needs to go to Forest Park (not sure if this his office location or home) to obtain the correct parts for our job. I expressed my concerns about leaving an unfinished job, driving from Mcdonough to Forest Park near rush hour time, and being a first time customer and not being sure he would actually return on the same day. He assured me that he would return within an hour and half (he stated he would take the back streets , using Hwy 42) to avoid the traffic. He left between 2:30 and 2:45pm. We contacted him at 4pm requesting his expected ETA. He advised he would be at our home in 40 mins. After the 40 mins passed we texted again and were advised of another 25 mins due to traffic. As of 5:30pm we were still waiting for him to return. None of the communication about his return was initiated by him or his staff. We had to literally stalk him for updates. The work was not completed until after 6:30pm (the entire job took less than an hour once parts were present) and his demeanor was very nonchalant. I feel as a first time client this was unacceptable, the lack of communication was deplorable, not having the correct inventory was unexplainable and allowing us to be in the dark about his return and completion of the job for hours was awful. We were hoping to build a lasting relationship with a local small business and use his services for future repairs. Unfortunately this will not happen. When scheduling this company please ensure they have the correct parts upon arrival and that you maintain constant communication if anything changes during the visit.
