image The child-to-teacher ratio is operated safely, and the staff and teachers are sincere and feel like family. The food is served from the kitchen and is delicious. It's nice to be able to play in the large playground.

image We have been attending Lighthouse since my son was 3 months old. He is now a month shy of three and I can't tell you how amazed I am at how much growth I see in my child because of Lighthouse Academy. The new director Annita is phenomenal--you can tell just how much she loves her job and how much she loves our children. The substantial changes she has implemented in such a short period of time are already making a difference in my son mentally, socially and behaviorally. The staff is amazing, they love their babies. My son runs into Lighthouse every morning excited to be there. I know my son is in phenomenal care when I leave him at Lighthouse Academy.

image My 3 year old twin boys attended the Preschool since August 2022 in the Kid Zone class and, as members of this class pretty much from the start of the school year, had developed bonds with both their teacher and other classmates (approx. 7 other children). They are very aware and informed me when classmates left or did not return. Now, imagine that all of a sudden ALL of the other children are moved to the next class mid-year but you. Additionally, you the parent are not advised of this change till you drop them off today and notice that there are no familiar faces in their class and my boys sat apart from the children newly transitioned from the younger class . Imagine the isolation and loneliness they as little children felt. Also, the explanation that the other children that were transitioned were older in itself did not hold up as another classmate who was transitioned to the other class shared the same birthday as them, and it still does not excuse how anyone would think it is alright to move all but two children - my children - thereby leaving them feeling isolated and bereft. This was cruel and insensitive. However, contrary to the advise of their teacher who felt they should be transitioned to the older class too, both Ms. Ashley, the Interim Director, and Reverend Christine Lee felt that this was "appropriately handled" given, as I was told, her "undergraduate and graduate degrees" not her social responsibility as an ordained person. So much for creating a safe and nurturing environment for our young ones and having open communication with parents.
I immediately pulled my children from this Preschool.

image My children have been at Lighthouse for the last 2.5 years. There has been some director turnover during this time. However, I have not once felt as if my children are not being well cared for while there. The teachers are thoughtful, kind, and have been wonderful with both of our boys. The director Anita is excellent and comes in with several years of experience as a director and knowledge in regards to running a preschool. She has made many wonderful changes in the facility over the last few months. There are several new teachers at Lighthouse too...all whom we and our children love. I would recommend Lighthouse to families looking for a wonderful, Christian setting to place your little ones.
