        Dr Hormes Jr is NOT like his father Dr Hormes Sr. Now that his father has retired I wouldnt recommend this practice. 15 years ago I saw Dr Joseph Hormes Sr for weakness of my left back and shoulder and numbness in my left hand that progressed to extreme pain in my shoulder. After multiple ER visits, CT, MRI failed to find anything wrong Dr Hormes Sr diagnosed me with Acute Brachial plexus neuritis that he said untreated could have led to loss of function. He pointed out the marked atrophy of my left back and shoulder muscles, placed me on high dose steroids and I was better within a few weeks and was able to regain my lost muscle with weight training. I was forever grateful and as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon have referred hundreds if not thousands of patients to Dr Hormes Sr over the years with much positive feedback. Recently I started having the same symptoms on my right side and remembering the urgency of quick treatment stressed by his father I called to speak with or get in to see Dr Hormes Jr. His staff was not helpful saying I would be considered a new patient and they were booking months out. He has not returned any messages left for him. He clearly IS NOT the same as his father. I will be sending my patients elsewhere.

        I am very happy with the level of care and understanding from Dr. Hormes. He explains everything, not only telling me the info I need, but also the why behind it. I come away feeling that I know so much more than when I went in. The staff is pleasant and I'm fully satisfied that I am getting the best care.

        The entire staff from receptionist, nurse assistant and Doctor Hormes Jr. was very professional and courteous. Every concern was addressed and I can not overstate my satisfaction with this visit. I know my medical issue is being addressed very effectively .
