I stayed here during the March break with my family of 6. We booked 2 rooms on 2 separate nights. Upon our arrival we were told that one of our 2 rooms were not ready, it was suppose to be ready by 3pm, we arrived at 4:30pm after a 13 hour drive from Toronto. Carlos at front desk was extremely rude and condescending when we were being checked in. We were told we had to wait until the room was ready, he also did not want to honour the family rate which we had the certificate for and had used many times worldwide when we stay at all Marriott afflicted hotels. He made me so upset that I requested to speak to his manager and he also refused to provide that information to me. I dont normally write bad reviews, but I feel that this was one of the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel and it was extremely embarrassing. I will never stay at this hotel again, and I am a frequent traveller to Atlanta. You have lost a valued customer and I hope that something will be done about Carlos behaviour so this doesnt happen to anyone else in the future. The standards at this hotel is much lower than when we first stayed here 2 years ago when the hotel was fairly new. Breakfast is a joke, food was limited and not great, we actually didnt eat here, we preferred buying breakfast at restaurants near by. Carpets are stained and the bathrooms are extremely rundown, dirty curtains and mildew stains on the tub surrounding. Caulking missing in some areas around the tub which will cause major issue long term. There is no safety lock box in the rooms. Not the experience I first had at this hotel 2 years ago, thus why I will not be back.
