If I could rate 0 stars I would! I have been calling constantly to renew my salon and cosmetology license, nobody answers due to "high call volume" regardless of the time of day. I've sent several emails since the pin apparently does not work, still no response. This is ridiculous and puts us as beauty professionals in jeopardy!

This office is USELESS. When I walked in to get my credentials printed, the old lady said, "Why he comin in here?" I "came in here" for the services YOU were SUPPOSED to provide. Then, I was told the printer was down and the part was on back order. Lastly, the younger desk rider snidely remarked, "You should try the Atlanta office, and you should call first." I came to the office because YOU DON'T ANSWER THE PHONES. Nothing makes me sicker than people who work in service fields NOT DOING THEIR JOBS. Your workplace is for work. The public shouldn't be made to feel that they are interfering with your social time by asking you to perform the jobs THE TAX PAYERS ARE PAYING YOU TO DO. If you don't want to deal with the public, go work somewhere else.

I was extremely shocked to see the Professional Licensing Board look so unprofessional. The building is old and lacks updates. A hole in the ceiling where insulation is visible and mouse traps are visible all over the facility. The inside is very old and outdated. This place needs a complete rebuild, renovation, and upgrade because it is rundown and uninviting, especially for professionals coming in for business purposes. The staff deserve a better place to work as well. Lastly this building is not a good representation of the state of Georgia.

My daughter has been trying to get her LMT license for Georgia since October 2023. After months of waiting and no ability to leave messages or speak with a real person, she received a denial for not having enough in-class hours, although she earned 542 in Oregon and Georgia only requires 500. Her school submitted this info to the board TWICE, too. Now, she is scheduled for her appeal in mid-April in Macon, 4 hours away from where she lives. The whole process needs to be reviewed. I wish Gov. Kemp would look into this and support staffing and customer service for applicants who have dedicated time and money for schooling and want to work in Georgia. It is disrespectful and sloppy to treat applicants in this fashion. My daughter was offered a job but can not accept until her license is approved.
