Lazy, unprofessional, and lacks accountability. BCSO needs to be shut down, Macon is a bottomless pit from law enforcement, schools, employment, etc!

Its a shame I called from out of state about the abuse of family members and they treated me like a suspect and made me feel like they were unfazed and unbothered about the safety of my 3 year old and 6 month family membersthat they may end up dead or on the ID channel sad the world we live that not even the police care about the babies, just sad Bibb CountyREALLY REALLY

Called 3 times for break-ins. They said I have to be "present" in order to get dispatch out. Because I'm an investor and 2 of my properties are vacant - they don't consider a burglary to warrant a visit. My neighbor called me to notify of people literally breaking my window and entering. She had pictures of people in the driveway. I ask dispatch if someone was breaking in her home when she was not there - wouldn't she want the police to show up - she said yes - but said it's different here. I have lost all confidence in Macon Police. I now am getting out of there. Selling my properties so I don't have to deal with a police department that is not interested in protecting citizens or their property. I thought paying property tax entitled you to a competent police department that services you. I did as for a call back from the chief or her boss - she said sure but never got a call back. I also have a case where squatters were in my duplex. We literally found their IDs on the floor by their clothes. Nothing.
Finally - I would like to say one positive thing.
Called today for another break-in of another property. They stripped my electrical wire, plumbing copper and tried to steal the AC condenser coils (but couldn't figure out how to cut it lose - so now just broken).
Called Macon Police Department over 10 times!!! Lost count. The regular PD number goes straight to busy call after call. The Bibb Co sheriff dept just keeps ringing. I didn't want to call 911 to tie up emergency - so kept trying. Finally someone picked up - a nice dispatcher - said didn't know how long but would send someone out. Sargent Inzar showed up within minutes. Was polite, made a report on on his way. If this could happen everytime I'd change my review. Would love a response from MPD or an apology - then might consider changing 1 start to something representative of their intent. I'm sure there are other good police officers and the department is trying, but if you're understaffed - there's no point. This is one dept that cannot be understaffed. Protecting citizens and their property is paramount.
