The front desk quoted me $100 more per night than if I booked online. I'm here for business for 6 weeks. They could've made $7,300 from my stay, but now they get $0 from me, lol.

We like Home 2 by Hilton. We have stayed in about 5 different ones and some we have repeated. This Home 2 is by far the worst I have ever stayed in. First we couldnt get in the back door using our digital key. Well it turns out you cant get in with the room key either. Others had the same issue. This necessitated us walking around to the side door to get in. When I arrived the desk clerk asked if I could provide my ID. I said I dont have it because I was planning to use my digital key and left my bag in the car. I asked her to authenticate me another way. She said oh I dont care, Im sick and handed me the keys. When I got to the room, it smelled like some kind of industrial cleaner - Lestoil comes to mind. There were large dark spots on the carpet and it looked dirty overall. I touched one of the spots and it appear d to be damp. Yuck! I also noticed that the top of the fridge had not been cleaned in a while and actually had food crumbs on it. There were runs and smears in the front of the fridge. There was food splashed in the wall behind the sink and mold or black grime in the caulk line of the counter top. The bathroom sink faucet was not connected to the base and you had to hold the faucet down while you raised the handle to turn it on. On a positive note , I checked for evidence of bedbugs and there were none. In the morning the breakfast bar was clean but it had no fruit except dried banana chips and some other trail mix stuff. Unlike every other Home 2 Ive been too, the food was not wrapped up individually and was just laid out for pick up with tongs. The coffee and the hot water was empty when I arrived at breakfast. I observed a man wait at the front desk for about 5 minutes before anyone showed up so he could ask for coffee. Once told, they did restock the coffee quickly. I stopped in the public restroom. It was not completely clean either. There was a lot of grime that had dripped down the wall. It dont look like recent dirt but a build up over time. We stopped for one night in our way to Florida. Had I been staying longer I would have moved to another hotel. For the price charged for this room, it should have been better maintained. I told the front desk about the issues and I asked for a discount. I was told that the manager wasnt there and the staff couldnt offer anything. They would let management know. What manager doesnt come to work by 9am on a Monday? I have been home almost a week now and I have yet to receive any contact from the manager. Funny this hotel also doesn't send out a satisfaction survey. I know why. Just stay somewhere else so you wont be disappointed too. Rooms: The room was dirty Safety: The rear door didn't work with card key or digital key. Had to walk all the way around from parking in the dark. Food & drinks: Worst selection of food at any Home2 Suites ever! Not one fresh fruit. Most items were unwrapped unlike other Home2. No staff present to refill empty coffee. Noteworthy details: Staff didn't seem to care

Title: A Hazardous Stay at Home2 Suites in Macon, GA: A Cautionary Tale During my extensive travels, I have encountered a wide spectrum of accommodations, from the luxurious to the lackluster. However, my recent stay at Home2 Suites in Macon, Georgia, unfortunately, falls into a distressing category of its own. This review serves not only as a recount of my experience but as a stern warning to fellow travelers considering this establishment for their lodging needs. From the outset, it was apparent that the room assigned to us had been woefully neglected in terms of maintenance. A glaring issue was the presence of a large bubble on the ceiling, indicative of significant water damage, presumably from the unit above ours. Such a sight is not only displeasing aesthetically but raises immediate concerns about structural integrity and guest safety. Compounding this issue was the bathroom's faulty design or installation, specifically the shower's drain pan. Not only did it fail to contain water, but it allowed it to spill freely onto the floor, exacerbating the pre-existing water damage. The result of such neglect was painfully clear in the literal sense; the tiles, disturbed from their intended positions, became hazards in their own right. A tile's sharp edge led to a personal injury, cutting my foota physical testament to the room's unsafe conditions. My concerns prompted an immediate request for managerial intervention, hoping that the severity of these issues would elicit a prompt and professional response. Regrettably, my request for a manager to call me and address these grievances was met with complete disregard. No follow-up was ever made, a silent testament to an astonishing lack of concern for guest safety and satisfaction. This neglect from the management team not only compounded the initial distress but also signaled a disturbing indifference to the welfare of their guests. The conditions I encountered at Home2 Suites in Macon, GA, were unequivocally unacceptable. Renting out a room in such a state is not only negligent but hazardous. It is a stark reminder that vigilance is necessary when selecting accommodations, as not all establishments uphold the standards of safety and comfort that guests rightfully expect. To potential guests considering a stay at this location, I implore you to reconsider. The neglect and hazards present in my experience, coupled with the management's failure to acknowledge or address these serious issues, suggest systemic problems that could affect others. In a realm where the well-being of guests should be paramount, Home2 Suites in Macon, GA, has demonstrably fallen short. For those seeking lodging in the area, I advise looking elsewhere to ensure a safe and enjoyable stay. Pictures and video don't lie.

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. I would just like to inform you that people make this mistake all the time when they try to book rooms online. There are a lot of third-party websites that may look like it is a direct site to our property, and they will show you a much lower rate but at the end of the whole booking process they are going to get their cut and our price after taxes will end up being lower than what you see online. Here at Home2 we care about our guest, and we want them to feel comfortable and enjoy their stay with us because it truly should feel like your home away from home. I am very sorry for this whole mix up and I do hope you came stay with us in the future.
