BEWARE of this company! I reached out to this company to get a quote for a new hard drive and re-image on my 2017 iMac. The initial quote for diagnostics and pickup was $135, but despite mentioning my location during the call, I was charged $150 at the time of pickup because of where I lived. Even with this unexpected increase, I went ahead with the service. A few days after the pickup, Kirk reiterated what I already knew that my hard drive needed replacement and then stated an additional payment was required for the new hard drive. After repair and drop off, my computer seemed to function correctly. However, the next day, I encountered issues when changing the user profile name, resulting in the loss of admin access. Kirk attempted to troubleshoot and mentioned at that time he had chosen a used pre-configured hard drive to save costs, a detail not disclosed earlier. Expressing my dissatisfaction, I informed Kirk that he should have had a conversation with me in advance about the decision to replace my hard drive with a used one. Despite assurances, the issue persisted, prompting me to seek services elsewhere. The alternative service provider, Atlanta Computer Solutions, promptly replaced the hard drive with a new one, upgraded the iOS, and uncovered improper installation practices by Kirk, including the use of a wood screw in the hard drive (see picture) and double-sided tape used to secure the screen back in place. I contacted Kirk for a refund due to the unacceptable service, citing the substandard installation, undisclosed use of a used hard drive, and that he was trying to charge me $100 for a re-image that he didn't do since the hard drive was already preconfigured with an image. Kirk just continued stating "but the computer works" rather than addressing the concerns raised. After some time, we eventually reached an agreement to meet for the return of the hard drive, and he committed to refunding my money. However, Kirk did not show up at the agreed time and location. Attempts to contact him were unsuccessful as his number was no longer in service. I caution those considering this individual's electronic repair services and recommend a thorough inspection of devices after any service is performed should you choose to still use this company. 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!
