        I was having a fuel leak somewhere in my truck while in town for work. I called countless places in the area with no luck getting my truck in within the week. Economy Diesel let me bring me truck in the same day I called, fixed the leak, and I had my truck back the next day. Thankful for this shop!

        Had to have my transmission control module replaced and reprogrammed on my 2016 Duramax.The dealership told me it would take 2 weeks to order the part and resolve the issue. Not only did Economy Diesel fix my issue in 48 hours, they had a certified GM technician do the programming. Communication was fantastic. I don't think i had to wait more than 3 minutes at any point for a response to a text message. They also answered the phone any time I called. Most importantly, the repair was done correctly and my truck shifts as smooth as glass.

        Do no recommend strongly, got beat out of $$ 818.27, got charged 2 hours labor and 600 dollars for a 150 dollar part that I didnt even have knowledge of him attempting to replace till after the fact, if you arent a commercial account with this guy then be warned. And the issues were injectors, which I knew beforehand and will now be replacing myself gladly.

      During the diagnostic process, the tech checked codes and identified a fuel pressure regulator which was not working properly while monitoring fuel pressure, injector balance rates, and the regulator while cranking. That part had to be replaced to further diagnose the low pressure while cranking. You were charged for the part ($203.99 plus + tax) and associated labor (book time is 4.0 at $150/hr labor rate which is what all repairs are based on) to replace it although the time invested was longer than what was charged. After verifying that the regulator was now working properly, he had to start looking at other places that would allow a pressure loss. It was then that he found that you had fuel dilution in the oil and your oil level was well over full. You were informed of the two possible options to repair which were denied. You were also explained how common injector failures are on those particular year model trucks and the problem needs to be verified before making an expensive repair like that which may not be necessary. You were also told what time and parts we had in getting to that diagnosis without any questions or complaints. We primarily work for individual truck owners like you, not just fleet work. We have plenty of work sitting in the parking lot waiting and a very good reputation since opening in 2011 so we have no need to try to "beat" anyone out of a repair bill like you claim.
