Employees go out of their way not to help you and only talk to you to let you know not to open a product because it's not a tester. Worst customer service. This is why I shop online.

The lead cashier was very rude to us today. We didn't have a number on file and she gave us a very hard time about giving her a number, even going so far as to say in a very rude tone "someone must have a number, a friend, a Mom someone must have one!" As if we would use a friend's number just to check out at Ulta! My daughter and I were trying to get in and out quickly as she is currently on crutches and in a lot of pain. We were held there until we gave her a number because she told us we could not check out without one. If this is store policy, it should be changed and if this was just this cashier trying to meet a goal I guess she did it because she bullied us into providing her with a number. I used to work retail so I understand the need to meet numbers but there is a right way to do it and being rude to the customer is absolutely the wrong way to do it. Due to her rude behavior we will not be back.

My daughter and I booked hair services for Mothers Day to spend the day together. When we arrived at the store 30 minutes early we were informed that my daughters appointment was not showing in the system. We had a screenshot of both of our appointments. Mine being at 12:15 and my daughters at 2:45. The lady said she had a cancel, but only had enough time to do one of our appointments because she needed 3 hours per services. I asked to speak with a manager over the scheduling issue and said I would reschedule my appointment if she could do my daughters hair. The lady then put on a show with the manager saying she was too worked up and didn't feel safe doing either of our hair. Mind you we never raised our voice, never gave attitude. She told us the manager wasn't available so we went to the front of the store and requested a manager for scheduling issue. The lovely manager came to the salon station and explained what was going on so she should fix the issue of scheduling. Meanwhile the salon lady was acting so distraught as if we did something to her. I told the manager that we spoke to her and treated her as we are speaking to you and treating you. The salon lady Said she did not have time to do either appointment without canceling her next appointment which was bogus because at this time is was 12pm and my appointment for all over highlights was at 12:15. I previously thought I had booked both of our appointments under my phone number but in deed mine was under my number and my daughters under her number and the salon lady said you could not book under the same number. My daughter's appointment was found under her number but still services was refused and had to set two other appointments up with different stylists. I explained go the manager this was the second issue we have had with our appointments at this location. I told her 2 months ago our appointments had to be canceled due to issues with the lights then this one and the stylist popped off with " yeah because that's our fault" and again we let her rude comments slide along with her "performance of being distraught" when the manager showed up. Koodos the the lovely manager. Shes such a sweet lady and she pulled us to the side and apologized for the stylist behavior and for the mix-up. When the stylist started giving an attitude I started recording the situation while the manager tried to book another appointments with a different stylist. Now here we are on mother's day with no other plans trying to figure out how to salvage this day together. will update on our future appointments.
