Great location! I stay here a lot for work and its always wonderful. They just recently finished a top to bottom renovation. Friendly staff! Rooms: Beautifully renovated rooms. Nearby activities: Very close to Road Atlanta, Lake Lanier and downtown Flowery Branch. Walkability: You can walk to stores and restaurants from this location. Food & drinks: Several restaurants and stores are walkable.

I am giving 1 star because I don't think the system will allow me to give less. I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past. In the past, although overpriced, the stays were fine without any surprises either with the room or the bill. This time was different. I stayed two nights, a Thursday and a Friday. I am a Hilton Honors member. When I reviewed my bill I noticed that the first night was billed at 147.02 and the second night at 133.06 which was approximately the rate I was expecting for both nights. This was pretax which tacked on another $25 for each night. I called the property to check, assuming this was a billing error. I was told the higher rate was calculated based on hotel occupancy for each night and that a flat rate per night guarantee was not possible. If I had booked online there would have been a cheaper "guaranteed" rate. Unfortunately, we as consumers have come to expect a lack of ethics from the "hospitality industry", but this was beyond the pale. I hope the $14 stolen from me was worth it because as a frequent visitor to this area, I will not stay in this hotel or any other Hilton Honors property again. They certainly do not show honor towards their paying guests. Buyer beware!
