    I moved in 2846 Walton way apt 10. Worst rental experience ever. Communication between the property manager (Greg) and owner, terrible and nonexistent. All maintenance has to be approved by the owner and takes months. There was a bad bug problem and I was told I had to handle it (ants and roaches in the kitchen). The ceilings leaked in the kitchen and living room on multiple occasions from the upstairs bathroom. A consistent problem from month 2 until month 11 of a year long lease. I was told not to use the bathroom causing the current leaks (so not getting what Im paying for). They have a list of fees and obligations at move out (200 to rekey, 200 for carpet cleaning) and have found reasons to keep my entire 1195 security deposit for normal wear and tear (painting etc. ). And still billed me a difference. The layout was not the most functional but I needed to move quick. The whole experience was uncomfortable and my concerns for mold due to the continuous leaking ceiling was ignored. Wish I had looked them up on the BBB. Theyre money hungry and do not care about their tenants.

    Pleasant to speak with as far as tone. However, customer service isn't good. Was a holiday I was without a car and mailed my cashier's check for rent it was received late due to USPS error putting it into incorrect mailbox. And they charged me extra 200 dollars for late fee. Now everyone knows cashier check funds are taken out same day so it wasn't that I didn't pay on time the check was even dated. Now they have a policy to send deposit back within 30 days. Not only is it 2 days past 30 day mark. I also had to pay to mail my check certified . They refuse to direct deposit or wire funds to me but auto pay my rent each month from my account. Their solution to this problem is to just wait for my check that's been stuck in transit since Friday or stop and reissue my check and still wait another week or more for it to get here. Of course no added fees for them.

    BLUF: Meybohm is not military/veteran/disability-friendly. Teresa, the manager of all Grovetown properties, is non-communicative. We are the property owners and hired Meybohm to take care of our home while we were PCS'd. Military/Veteran reasons: 1. Meybohm does not have to show the homeowners the actual lease before signing on a tenant. We were not given a copy of the lease until 2 months after the tenant had already moved in. They don't need your approval and the lease is binding, even if you've never seen it. 2. Meybohm's leases do not include owner move-in clauses. This meant that we had to bribe our tenant to move out, so that we could move back into our own home after being medically retired from military service because of a new disability. 3. Meybohm does not honor military orders as means of ending the contract between property owner and Meybohm. Being newly disabled also does not qualify you for the contract ending without penalty. This meant that when we moved home, it was viewed as defaulting on the contract, and we owed Meybohm all the monthly management fees that they would've made during the full length of our tenant's lease. 4. The three reasons above create the perfect storm for Meybohm to make as much money as possible while being the least liable, at the expense of disabled military members. Teresa reasons: 1. About a year ago, we had an issue where Teresa was not responding to texts, calls, or emails. It was as if we didn't even have a property manager. If you live in Grovetown, Teresa will be your property manager. 2. This issue went up to Linda the property coordinator, who apologized and offered to waive the management fee for that month. Instead of waiving the fee, they accidentally double-charged us the fee that month. 3. I brought this to Teresa's attention twice before it got fixed. 4. It took them two tries to refund the correct dollar amount, but to their credit, they did fix the math on their own after 2 months. As a property owner, I do not recommend entering any contract with Meybohm. It is especially risky for military because of the changes that can occur outside of our control. They did return our home to us the same way we left it, so a star has been added to reflect this.
