My family and I love hiking in the mountains, so decided to rent a cabin for a week. I was referred to Mountain Oasis by a friend who had a great experience renting a cabin through their service. I called the reservation desk, and received assistance from a kind, courteous and incredibly patient individual, who I am sure was challenged by my lack of knowledge of the process. Regardless, I never felt as though I was being difficult. The cabin was spectacular and we had a wonderful time. I highly recommend Mountain Oasis.

Cypress Lodge - USED CONDOM FOUND IN BEDDING - After engaging in a dialogue with the management team at Mountain Oasis Cabin Rentals, Inc., I aimed for a fair resolution. Regrettably, my expectations were not met. It is imperative to recount my encounter to inform prospective renters considering this establishment. Upon our arrival at the cabin on Friday, February 9, 2024, we found the accommodation well-maintained and suitable for our family of four adults and two young children during our attendance at a wedding. However, our experience took an unexpected turn on Friday night when, at approximately 11 p.m., we came across a USED CONDOM on the main level king bedding as we prepared for resta disheartening and unsettling discovery. I promptly contacted Mountain Oasis Cabin Rentals, Inc. through email and the VRBO app, acknowledging the lateness of the hour and the unlikelihood of an immediate response. The following morning, I conversed with Debbie, the owner, who assured me of an investigation and committed to providing an update by Monday, February 12, 2024. Upon a subsequent inquiry on Monday, I was apprised that the matter was still under scrutiny. Despite presenting detailed information alongside timestamps, there seemed to be a bias towards the account of their cleaning service rather than my report of discovering the USED CONDOM. By Tuesday, February 13, 2024, a comprehensive email from Debbie was received, outlining their investigative process and extending apologies. They categorized the incident as a "mystery" and tendered a refund of the cleaning fee as a goodwill gesture. I felt that a complimentary night's accommodation would have been a more fitting redress, given the inconvenience we endured. An essential detail disclosed regarding their cleaning procedure was the selective removal of sheets based on perceived usage, determined by the tucking. I advocate for a universal practice of washing all sheets irrespective of apparent use, recognizing the variance in guest preferences. In conclusion, while the cabin itself was appealing, a meticulous examination of sheet cleanliness is paramount. Unfortunately, in our situation, the version presented by the cleaning team was prioritized over our testimony.
