Karyn is now family for us. I am a single mom with children. I was seeing a specialist throughout my pregnancy because I was considered high risk. Karyn faithful showed up through my third trimester and beyond to offer great doula support. What was meant to be a stressful and overwhelming pregnancy became empowering and manageable. She held my hand when I needed, informed when I wasn't clear and advocated when I needed. My hospital birth experience with Karyn was great.We labored at home and went in right in time for baby to be delivered. I did the whole birth naturally. Which was part of my birth plan.She was warm and friendly to the staff and firm when she needed to be. Karyn is a amazing doula! We used her support for our fifth baby. I previously had a long stalled out birth for our fourth and knew I would need support this birth. We ended up having a c section with our fourth and I knew though it was a possiblity I wanted to try for a vbac. Karyn educated me and my husband during the pregnancy with comfort measures and tips to prevent another long and stalled birth. We felt supported and well informed throughout the labor and delivery. Karyn arrived to my house in the middle of the night to provide labor support. Once we were ready she escorted us to the hospital. Though we had some unexpected dips and turns throughout the labor and delivery. Karyn warmly smiled and reassured us. We were able to attain all of our birth wishes. She also stayed to help us with intial breastfeeding. As exhausted as I was she remember our customery food and brought food once while I was able to bond with my beautiful baby boy. Karyn was the right kind of support for my family. My wife went into labor while I was at work. I meet Karyn our doula while my wife in her third trimester we got tons of educational support better than the childbirth class we took. I knew exactly what to do and how to provide support while my wife was in early labor. As men we tend to move out the way not knowing what to do. Karyn didnt over shadow me when I was stuck. She reassure me and gave us time to bond as a family. We will never forget her. My wife had a supportive birth and that was the most important for me. We were very happy to finally meet our handsome boy......During the postpartum Karyn continued to suppport us and also educated my wife on milk storage, feeding and sleep practices. We had a restful postpartum period because the help of our doula.
