On the first leg of my 3000 mile cross-country move, I had the misfortune of blowing a tire on a stretch of freeway that AAA apparently feels is beneath them to service. My SUV and hitch extension were piled high with my belongings, and accessing my spare would have taken hours and been really dangerous on the relatively narrow shoulder on this stretch of freeway. After being strung along by AAA for three hours (pushing us to 6pm, after many businesses are closed), eventually they told us to try again tomorrow. Which is great advice when youre two women stranded on the side of an open highway in 100+ degree weather with pets in the backseat! Luckily, a google search and a few phone calls led us to SWS towing, where we spoke to Scott. While he didnt have a truck available to send to us immediately, Scott absolutely bent over backward to help us out. Not only did he call around to his personal contacts to find us a truck and driver- he offered to send someone out to sit with us and bring us water if we needed it just so we wouldnt be alone. He kept us informed as he worked behind the scenes to get us taken care of, told us exactly who would be coming for us and what their truck looked like once he managed to find a driver for us, and followed up after the fact to make sure wed made it safely to a shop. We cannot thank him enough!
