    Dont believe everything you read. I almost do not go because of reviews,but, I am glad I trusted me belieffrom the time I entered this practice I was treated amazing. And this Dr Koch is definitely my orthopedic Doc from now on. I had shyed away from Resurgeons since Dr Kancherla left the practice, but Im happy again. So in short, reviews are from people we never meet, dont judge from what you read

    I had an appointment to be seen at Resurgens Orthopaedics February 5: 00 a, by Dr. Koch. Upon entry into the office at 7:30 a, I went to the front desk to sign in, and the woman (Caucasian) behind the desk would occasionally look back, but did not greet, nor did she acknowledge patients entering the office this morning. After signing in, I asked if there was anything I needed to do after signing in, and she yelled out "just sit. there are people ahead of you!!" I sat down and was later called up at 8:10 by another (African American) woman who called me up to the desk.     I can affirm each of these other reviews. If Dr. Koch demonstrates this consistent of a disinterest in treating his patients, let alone examining or even listening to them, he should not be practicing medicine. I left the Resurgens office on North Decatur Road shaking, insulted, and out $50 for a copay and over an hour of my time wasted in the waiting room only to be untreated, practically unexamined, and boldly disrespected. Find yourself any other doctor.

    I had an appointment to be seen at Resurgens Orthopaedics Decatur 8:15a, by Dr. Koch. Upon entry into the office at 7:55a, I went to the front desk to sign in, and the woman (Caucasian) behind the desk would occasionally look back, but did not greet, nor did she acknowledge patients entering the office this morning. After signing in, I asked if there was anything I needed to do after signing in, and she yelled out "just sit. there are people ahead of you!!" I sat down and was later called up at 8:10 by another (African American) woman who called me up to the desk. She informed me that I had a balance of around $200 from my first appointment. I informed her that I had a medical pay card from my motor vehicle insurance company that I had not received yet at the time of my first appointment, and presented this time. She said Resurgens does not accept third party payments, and that I would have to pay cash. She called over to the initial woman that was at the desk, who then came over to me and said "well unfortunately, you were wrongly informed," and pointed me to a sign in the office. She said "this was for a motor vehicle accident? Were YOU at fault?" She continuously cut me off and did not let me finish my sentence. I calmly asked her to allow me to finish my sentence. She said I'm not cutting you off, but I am explaining THIS office's policy to you." I said "again, are you turning me away from service if I am unable to pay in cash right now?" She yelled, "GOODBYE!" and stormed off. The second woman at the desk ignored me, did not look at me, nor did she say anything to me. I said, so am I paying now, or after I'm seen today? She said "I won't know what's due until after you're seen." I said okay, and sat down. A third woman came to the front who said "I understand that you have some questions about payment and billing?" I said no, I did not have any questions, but was waiting to be seen. Since she was there, I said "I now want to clarify whether I will be able to be seen today with or without my motor vehicle insurance's medical pay card. Because I have medical insurance on file with you guys and I am happy to pay my copay and take care of the last payment because I would be reimbursed anyway." I explained to her that I had a medical pay card. She said "Oh! We will need that information then. I told her I was unsure why it was turned away in the first place this morning. This goes to show that no one took the time to listen to me. She asked to take a copy of the card. I asked if I was still going to be seen because it is over 15 minutes after my appointment time. She asked the second young woman to check me in. I said "so I was not checked in? I have been here since 7:55 this morning. It is 8:25 now" The woman apologized to me and said the doctor will see me soon, so I sat down again. At 8:34a, the third woman called me back and said "I am uncertain about what happened at the front this morning, but Dr. Koch said he will not be seeing you this morning under any circumstance because of what happened at the front." I said "because a staff member yelled at, and walked away from me? I'm the one being turned away?" I politely accepted this and left the office. Two other patients in the waiting room let me know they saw how rude the staff was, and saw what happened. The office staff at the Decatur location was extremely unprofessional and publicly embarrassed me in front of everyone in the office. I am disgusted by the staff behavior at this Resurgens location, and by Dr. Koch. I am injured, traveled 45 minutes to my appointment this morning, wasted another 40 minutes there, only to be refused service and told I would not be seen today, after taking time off of work. I was told by the last woman I spoke to, that the manager, Heather Howell, would call me today to discuss what happened. I should have known that I would end up in this kind of situation after reading the reviews on Dr. Koch on Google. They are terrible. His office staff are no better.
