The Whitfield Murray Historical Society is a historic office built in 1890 as the office for the Crown Cotton Mill. Since the mill closed, the office has become the headquarters for the historical society for Whitfield and Murray county. There is a new secretary that has been there for three years. It is open for guests weekdays until 4 pm.
