We found 4 stray kittens on the side of the road. Called around everywhere from vets to shelters to humane societies and no one had availability to take them or they were closed. I called Paulding County Animal Control, explained the situation, and they said they have availability to take them. We drove there and were really happy we found a place for the kittens. We were turned away because we technically didnt find them in Paulding County, even though it was nearby. My issue is that no one told me this on the phone and when we got there, the lady was extremely rude about it all. She was looking down doing paperwork while she was talking to me. I told her we had nowhere to take the kittens and was tearing up and she just kept repeating that they wouldnt take them. Offering no solutions or no help for these baby kittens. Awful experience here

An officer was called out to my house today as my dogs had escaped the fence so there was fault of my own however the lack of training on the officers part to be able to read dogs almost got my VERY FRIENDLY staffy whacked upside the head with a rabies pole. It was completely uncalled for. They are very pleasant well trained dogs and all he had to do was calmly direct them to the garage and they would have happily obliged. I understand they the officers safety is important however basic training in animal behavior would have told him that my staffy was friendly and did not need a METAL pole swung at his head. I was anlso LECTURED about how to put up ann electric fence without a simple question of my background (as an equine veterinarian I know full well how to put up fence) Over all very disappointed how this case was handled.

I had a TERRIBLE experience here today. There has been a stray dog outside of my house for a couple of days, I tried to ask around and find his owners or even keep him with me but my dog would not get along with him. I brought him to the animal shelter as a stray in hopes that they would be able to find his home. After I dropped him off as I was driving away, the lady STOOD in front of my car telling me that I needed to take the dog back because it was considered abandonment and that I would be charged with a FELONY? Because she decided to look up my instagram and my profile picture was a similar looking puppy WHICH BELONGS TO MY MOM!! She stood in front of my car and refused to let me drive away when I had my newborn baby in the backseat CRYING because she wanted to accuse me of ABANDONMENT???? I had to sit there and speak to the police for nearly an hour before they finally let me leave. They refused to let me take the stray back but they also refused to keep him, they would not let me do anything with him until me and the police officers agreed for them to KEEP THE STRAY DOG and I had to download an entire app to take photos of my moms puppy and PROVE that the dog was not mine in order to be able to leave with my newborn baby, leave the stray dog there, and not receive a citation along with a felony charge. I am very disappointed in this place and I WILL be pressing charges for the harassment and accusations and stress that I had to endure just to drop off a stray dog that has been staying outside of my house.
