Allen's Automotive was exceptionally helpful and kind! We were traveling and unexpectedly found ourselves in need of brake work. They took care of us right away! Very knowledgeable, fairly priced, and we highly recommend them!

I could write an essay about my issues with this business, but honestly not worth my time. My biggest issue is I told them to do whatever they needed to do in order to get my car running. To start off I paid them $1,400 for some engine work and after several months they said they couldnt find a part they needed my girl found it in less then two hours so I havent the slightest clue how non of them could find it. Took my car home after I had them put the $600 part on I had to provide and not even 24 hours later my car died going up a hill no power at all after they told me it was running fine. I had a suspicion it was a bad fuel pump took it back and they confirmed it was most likely a bad fuel pump. They then proceeded after a lot of attitude from the owner to want to charge me an additional $600 for a $200 fuel pump I ended up putting in myself in less then 20 minutes; on top of the $200 I had to pay to have my car towed back to their shop after they said it was fine. It has now been about 2-3 months after I left Allens Automotive and my car is still running need I mind you not well it still has a check engine light and a rough idle with intermittent loss of power, but it is running which is more then it was doing before. The ONLY reason Im giving them a 2 star and not a 1 is because they did actually somewhat get the car running. Honestly $2,200 and several months of waiting for a part Im not 100% confident they were even looking for to get a car back thats just barely running and plenty of attitude from the owner means I can recommend NO ONE EVER use this mechanic. This was only a summary of my bad experience and it still turned into a small essay absolutely unacceptable Allen. 2/10 Dont recommend. --------------------------------------------------------- So I am now bumping this review from a 2 star to a 1 star. I mentioned the attitude from the owners right? Well simply look at the reply they left to my comment. These are the most unprofessional, dishonest and disrespectful people I've ever had the misfortune of doing business with. For starters yes I am perfectly aware of the difference between an intake manifold and a fuel pump okay drop the attitude. I never stated yall worked on a fuel pump. If you read the comment it actually says I installed the fuel pump. My wording was a little confusing in my initial comment ill admit, but if you actually look I referred to the intake manifold as "part" and referred to the fuel pump as "fuel pump". I did end up having to provide the manifold because my car sat in your lot for months while yall were "searching" for the intake manifold. We found the manifold by looking up and calling yards all around the country and found it. The manifold is no longer available new, because it is an old car you sometimes run into these problems. The gas gauge didn't work leaving your shop I don't have to be a professional mechanic to know that means something is wrong. After the arm and leg you charged me for the "work" you did i had no money to worry about what could've been just a bad gauge. You guys however should have been able to spot that and find the problem. Despite you claiming I'm a professional mechanic in your sarcastic unprofessional snappy tone. I will have you know the wire splice job you did was more of a hack job then splice job. The wires pulled right out with no force at all and I don't need to be a professional to know that's not supposed to happen. Who knows if the intake manifold you guys spent months looking for was even bad or if the wires were actually a problem before you guys got ahold of them. I brought my car to another shop were they replaced the engine harness all together from the disaster yall left it as. The actual problem was with the crankshaft. After real professionals fixed the wires and repaired the crankshaft my car runs like new. Best part they charged me 1/3 the price yall did and they actually fixed my car. If you want to come at a customer with your attitude and ego make sure you have the capability and capacity to back it up.

Everything said here is a total lie we worked on a intake manifold. That the customer provided him self and we fixed wiring to the injectors that rodents had chewed up. When the car was brought to us every test was performed at that time the fuel pump was in working order, customer was contacted and told there was a Crack in the intake nothing to do with a fuel pump. But with all of his mechanical knowledge I guess he don't know the difference in a intake and a fuel pump. The car set for many many months waiting to find the right intake again that the customer furnished himself. After the repairs were done to the car it was test drove several times and the customer left driving the car. I don't doubt the fuel pump went bad but it was nothing to do with what we repaired , the fuel pump went bad from setting many many months. But I guess with all the schooling and tools he has from becoming a professional mechanic he knew what was wrong. I'm sure him and his master mechanic girlfriend found one on ebay little did he know there are 5 different ones that fit that car and neither one is interchangeable. Our parts manager found the right one and told them which one to buy because we don't buy or warranty parts on line, they bought the part he told them about and we installed it. Essay complete
