Good hotel near the highway. There is some noise in the morning. For the rest everything is ok. Free breakfast always included

I chose this hotel over the Hilton close by because of the free breakfast. I was traveling with my children and figured the free breakfast would save a little money. It is in a nice location. There are restaurants close by and just across the highway is a Walmart. The area was pretty quiet and didnt seem too busy but we were there on a Tuesday. The hotel was pretty quiet as well. We saw quite a few people in suits so I am assuming they have visitors trying for business.
The staff we encountered was nice and there were free cookies at the front desk. Checking in and choosing a room on the Hilton App was pretty easy, but getting in the room using the digital key didnt work. We had to get a regular keycard.
There were a couple things broken at the hotel. The dolly was so hard to use for our luggage because both ends kept lifting out of the holes. When we got into the room, we found a cheez-it on the floor that was missed during their cleaning. The shower was horrible - the dial to adjust the water was broken and literally fell off. I was unable to adjust it so the water shot all the way to the back wall of the tub and therefore spraying water in my face. The day was pretty warm and after a long drive we looked forward to getting into the pool but it was completely drained. That was a bummer.
The beds were pretty comfortable. The AC worked fine and the rooms were nice and cool. The breakfast was very good and the breakfast attendant was very attentive and helpful to the guests.

The location is right off of the interstate, very convenient. The staff was great except for the manager/district mgr the staff says she use to be a housekeeper but wouldn't give me her name. I researched and found it on my own.
This lady--1st me and my coworker were checking in. We had been out doing some community work for the senior citizens in Newton County. We weren't looking our best. We'd been helping some make little gardens etc for their homes, just little odd stuff. So we were dirty.
This lady looked at us as if we had the plague!! I mean she looked down her nose at us. After we walked off, I could hear her ask the front desk staff...what room are they in and I don't like the way they look. They don't need be staying here!!! If I hadn't heard it with my own hears I would not have believed it.
She is an older black woman, heavy set. There's nothing wrong with being a housekeeper but being promoted from housekeeping to a managerial position --I would expect a better attitude and work ethics.
Yes She looked down at us as if we were covered in poop!! I'll never go there again. My company paid for the stay. We have since ceased our business with this chain. It's a shame!!!
