The size of the apartment is decent for the price but they overcharge for water.  When I moved out they did not show up for the move out inspection and sent me a letter for various charges totaling over$600. First they charged $75.00 for a ceiling fan which had a small crack in the wooden black that was leading from the screw that was connecting the wooden blade to the metal rotation device.  There is no way that I damaged the ceiling fan and that crack in the wood was either from the manufacturer or installation.  I never even touched the blade to turn the fan on or off so there is no way the damage was my fault. They also charged me $200 for a swinging door to the laundry room that had water damage from when the water heater leaked.  The water heater was leaking a month after I moved in on Christmas Eve. They had to send someone out to fix the water heater on Christmas Eve and then for the carpet for following week.  The door separated the laundry room and the kitchen. It was a swing door with a metal mechanism and some pressed wood on the bottom and a small metal piece at the top that stuck into the door.  Well it took a while but the pressed wood began to disintegrate and fall apart. At first I didn't know what all the little dusty looking stuff was on the kitchen and laundry room floors and then one day the pressed wood bar on the bottom slipped out far enough to see it.  I call and they maintenance guy said they would have to replace it. But once they took the door down it was more convenient because the door blocked either the refrigerator or the washing machine depending on the direction you pushed it. So requested that the door just be removed. The maintenance guy put the door in the outside storage since I did not use it. When I moved out they charged me $200 for breaking the door even though the door was damaged due to the water heater leaking when I first moved in. I stayed at this complex for 3 leases without any major issues until I moved out. A few rowdy neighbors but they never stay more than one year and well they also had massive waterbugs that will be all over your apartment especially after the rain. The pest control said their wasn't much they could do because of the vicinity of lake bottom park and the drainage in the area.  Is is just a prime location for bugs.  The dumpster was always overfilled unless the truck had just come. And for the price this complex has no amenities.  They are charging you to live in that area which really is not that great anymore. Someone broke into my storage unit twice while I lived there.  I am written this review because I can not find my original review I wrote in 2016 and one of my students who rented from them more recently and just moved out is having the same types of issues. When I went to show them my review it was removed so I decided to add another review. LeCraw on 13th and Thayer properties are unethical. I would advise anyone to take pictures and video prior to moving in, document every issue in writing through your lease period(s), and take pictures and video on move out and don't do a move out inspection if they do not show up.  That seems to be part of their scam.
