Econo Lodge Inn & Suites

Incredibly thin walls meant we could hear regular conversation and snoring from the adjacent rooms. Made a reservation, which did not say anything about the lobby closing at 10. The table in the room looked like it had been chewed by a puppy. Dresser was missing a side panel, little kids could get fingers caught in the drawer slides. Hotel touted recent renovation, but the carpet had holes and the couch looked like it was from the 70s (Not based on style but wear.) The bedding was new, at least.

Booked a room on Orbitz. Arrived at 10:30. Front desk told me they had booked my room since the previous employee did not tell them there were reservations already made. So, I got here and had no room. I'll have to stay somewhere else and fight for my refund, I guess.

Mickey was so helpful and patient. I'm pretty sure he runs the business by himself. He is the reason this place gets fours stars. I took one star away because there wasn't a trash bin or iron in our room. Otherwise, it was exactly what we needed.

The gentleman who checked me in was so sweet, the rooms are being remodeled which they definitely need. Our room was clean just old, shower was immediate hot water and great pressure. Full size fridge, coffee pit with coffee but no cups, hair dryer, they did offer laundry which was great, huge tv, bed wasn't horrible but wasn't great either, had been freshly painted but needed carpet ripped up, after the remodel they will be a great hotel, and just 15 minutes from race track closest restaurant is Greg's (a must try), Jack's and Choo Choo barbecue... again the check in was so sweet and I got to meet his dog Oreo who was precious Nearby activities: 15 minutes from race track Safety: Very quiet area felt totally safe Walkability: Can walk around without feeling scared Food & drinks: Had 2 ice machines but both were down, again they are undergoing a remodel so give them some time Noteworthy details: The gentleman that checked us in was super nice, he actually showed us the room and explained how to turn on cable. Said if we needed anything to let him know and he would take care of us. They are going thru a remodel I can't even imagine how stressed he was...
