The Purpose Center

There is no staff there. At least not professional staff. "DR" Garcia is a joke. If you expect nurturing or counseling, forget it. "Job training is working 40 hrs in a steel factory with all wages going to the center along with the $700 per month. Art wants inmates,he can control. Not .residents. My son was the only man there without a pending criminal charge or record. Be prepared a week into the program to sign away all rights and liability of the center. If you refuse, Art's angry side will soon show it's ugly head, One thing, If it's the Purpose Center or jail. The center I'm sure, beats steel bars.

The Purpose Center is a tremendous resource in our community. Dr. Garcia has led many many men along their recovery journey, spiritual awakening and personal growth. Men in this program are challenged to make the needed changes and adjustments to their lives to overcome their issues and addictions.

This place is the worst thing to ever happen to my family. If anyone who isnt in the program with family or significant others don't bow down to what they say they do whatever it takes to rip them appart

I've witnessed many men complete the program at The Purpose Center, moving on to a better life. One full of love for God and restoration of family (wives, sons and daughters, and parents). It requires a change of mindset on the part of the addict; where turning away from the old man behavior and submitting to his responsibilities unto God's plan and his love ones. The men that are in this program live on campus in dorm style living with three meals a day provided and laundry accommodations. Recreation and TV is available by schedule. Work programs which assist in providing finance for a part of the center's expenses require participation from the student and provides the student with learning of skillsets and discipline. This program is not a Spa or a Vacation Camp. Dr. Art Garcia and his wife Linda live on campus with these men and are very hands on with all parts of the students rehabilitation. They have been doing this at this location for over 10 years. That in itself speaks volumes regarding their dedication and commitment. Just as there are successes, there are also disappointments. If a man does not truly desire to make a change, his choice cannot be taken away. He has the human right to leave and continue down a wrong road of life. Dr. Art's prayers are that all come to be the man God desires and fulfills a life that contributes to humanity and to the Kingdom of Heaven.
