Dr Gonzalez is an excellent surgeon. Five years ago he removed my prostrate. Five years later there has been no recurrence. I am a Stage 3 with SVI inclusion so my expectation was not so cheery.

Prostate Cancer Surgery consultation. Doctor Gonzalez was not personable. He typed in an algorithm that did not include my PET scan results, which were clear of cancer outside of the prostate. He did not recommend surgery, which is fine... but his comment was that he had regular roundtable meetings with his peers and how would it look upon himself if he performed my surgery? Ouch. I had surgery from another doctor 2 months ago and all has been very good! Regardless of my future, I am happy with my decision.

He then graduated from Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health, where he was student council president for one year, class president for three years, and a service award recipient. He completed his residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital - Washington University Medical Center in Saint Louis, MO, where he was the Abrams Award recipient for Highest In-service Exam Score 2006. He then served as clinical instructor of the Division of Urology at Washington University from 2006 to 2008 with a clinical specialty in laparoscopic surgery.
