        My mother had Allstate here and passed away in April 2020. I called them to alert them of her death and cancel her policy. Sound simple? It should be. From that simple conversation, these clowns somehow started a brand new policy in my name. I had to call and cancel that when I received mail about it. They apologized and said I'd be getting a refund for her prepayment. Sound simple? It should be. Now I'm getting letters from a collection agency. Absolute incompetence! I have to waste my free time dealing with this? I can only imagine how horrible it would be trying to get a legitimate claim filed, when they can't even figure out how to cancel a policy of a deceased client.
